Cat recovered from intestinal tumor - From: Cheryl Sima
lilzippy<at>sbcglobal.net - Sunday, December 17, 2006
The
year was 2000 nearing Halloween our vet had a black kitten that fit in
one hand. He was pitch black in color for the season that was just around
the corner he felt he needed to give this kitten to a safe and loving family.
I told my Mother and without any second thoughts she & my father said
"Yes, bring him HOME!" We decided to name him LUCKY.
In December of 2005 he began to occasionally vomit. As time went on
he continued vomit for no apparent reason. Upon trying to find out what
was wrong my vet and I ran complete blood tests, x-rays, and other various
types of tests and/or suggestions that my vet recommended. LUCKY continued
to eat strong but he could not hold down his food. LUCKY went from 19#
to 13# and in April 2006 my vet and I decided to take him to a specialist
for an Ultrasound. The Ultrasound confirmed a Tumor in LUCKY'S Intestine.
The specialist recommended going right to surgery since a biopsy would
take a while for results and we would treat the tumor as malignant one.
His surgery was a success with the surgeon taking out the tumor along with
a swollen lymphnoid.
They were sent for a biopsy and the results were confirmed as Lymphosarcoma
with no spread to the swollen Lymphnoid, or any other visual signs of
the cancer spreading to other organs that the specialist could see visually.
Chemotheropy was suggested two weeks after surgery to allow him to heal
and halt the spread of the cancer if any. I had a choice of three options
for chemo and chose the most aggressive attack, one treatment every week
for 12 weeks. In his seventh week check-up an ultrasound, chest x-ray,
complete blood test showed no evidence of returning cancer. Upon asking
the specialist how to keep this in remission he said to finish the 4 Chemo
treatments and hope to keep him in remission. This is when I thought there
was more I could do and we got on the computer and after weeks of searching
found Shirley's Wellness Cafe, for which we are extemely thankfull for
her time as well as suggestion and direction. As we began to gather up
all of the imformation we became over whelmed and she directed us to Barbara
Raggio. (Barbara can be
reached at 206-338-6285 or
)
Through many many e mails and over the phone conversations Barb gave
us suggestion on Holistic options and many other web sites on this subject.
LUCKY finished his chemo and continued to eat, run, jump and play throughout
his chemo. By the end of August 2006 and with Barb's help we chose our
attack, Detox by Pet Alive to remove any toxins left in his body from the
chemo, Transfer Factor Plus Adult Formula, Goji Juice, Agaricus
Liquid Extact, and Lifes
Abundance Cat Food Dry/Can by Jane Bricks. Since August 2006 LUCKY
has been getting 1/2 Capsule Detox
3-4 times a week, 1 capsule human
Transfer Factor Plus a day, 1/2
teaspoon Goji Juice 3-4 times a week, 2 oz. Agaricus Liquid Extract
once a week all mixed in Lifes Abundance Food. LUCKY is currently 16# and
getting bigger every week and his stool is normal and healthy. He just
came back from a checkup and there are NO signs of a tumor. Every day I
come home from work LUCKY is there to greet me, he runs down the hall gives
me a "head-butt" jumps on the table slides across the table and into the
lamp. He is such a HAPPY CAT!!!!!!!!! We send this letter with Thanks to
all of those who have helped us along the way. This is truely a LUCKY CHRISTMAS!
Puppies pneamonia, e-coli and staph
A little over 2 years ago I bought a 4 year old Cocker Spaniel, she
has had only 1 live puppy out of 3 litters. After taking one of the
puppies to the vet for an autopsy we found out her puppies were born with
pneamonia, loaded with e-coli and staph (mom's uterus was infected).
Her puppies would be born alive and normal weight but start to die over
the first 48 hours.
To back up a bit... we put her on clavamox from the vet for 10 days
after the 2nd litter. She then had her 3rd litter, which is when
we did the autopsy, and put her on clavamox for 2 weeks. On this
last heat cycle we tried it again, my vet said she was such a nice Cocker
she didn't see any reasoning to spay her and discontinue trying to breed
her (this was our last attempt at breeding her, if no healthy babies we
were going to spay her). Two weeks before her delivery date we put her
on Transfer
Factor Plus 1 pill a day, we will keep her on Transfer Factor Plus
until the puppies are 2 weeks of age. She has 3 strong and healthy
babies, all are doing well. Momma is healthier than ever and also
doing very well. I am just THRILLED! Michelle

Dog's recover from Auto Immune Haemolytic
Anaemia (AIHA)
On March 26, 2007 my maltese, Mya, woke up
not feeling well at all. She was normally a very energetic, happy
dog, but that morning all she wanted to do was lay down. I thought
she may have had a stomach ache because the day before was her birthday,
and she had a few more treats than normal. I kept a close eye on
her, and she got worse as the day went on. By the afternoon, when
she would try to stand up, she would sway back and forth and then just
fall to her side and lay there. She seemed extremely dizzy and weak.
After seeing this, I called my vet and took her in. He examened her
and saw that her gums were as white as a sheet. I told him about the extra
treats she had the day before, but he said that had nothing to do with
it. He took some blood and determined that her red blood cell count
was down to 18, and he said she should be around 40. He had no idea
what the cause was (and her symptoms were inconsistent with how dogs were
reacting to the recalled dog food), but he had to keep her there on an
I.V. overnight. Mya ended up staying there two nights, and her blood
count was not increasing.
Mya was then transfered to Michigan State University's
Vet hospital. They determined that she had IMHA, a condition where
her immune system attacks her own body. It was destroying her red
blood cells. They believe that this is due to vaccinations, but they
don't know what triggers it. I was told it was a very serious disease,
and that the outlook was not so great. Mya was not given much hope
of surviving, and if she did pull through it this time, they said it could
hit her again at any moment. Her blood count was still at 18,
and I was told that if it dropped any lower, she would need an immediated
blood transfusion or she would not survive.
They immediately took her to intensive care
and put her on 4 different kinds of medicine, including a high dose of
steroids. Mya was in the hospital for 5 days on all this medicine.
On the third day her blood count dropped to 15, and they did have to do
a blood transfusion. I was told that the transfusion was only to
buy some time to give the steroids a chance to work. After the 5th
day they released her and her blood count was at 18 again. She still
had a long way to come, but they thought she may be able to pull through,
and there was nothing more they could do. They prescribed Mya to
be on the extreme high doses of medicine for six months, and then they
would re-evaluate at that time. And in the mean time I had to bring
her back every other day for two weeks, then they would taper off the appointments.
I was also warned that I may not ever get the same dog back because of
the effects of the medicine, plus they wanted her to be on medicine for
the rest of her life, just a lower dose.
While Mya was at the hospital, when I was not
praying for her, I was doing research on how to treat this naturally.
I came across Shirleys Wellness Cafe and found all kinds of information.
After reading about transfer factor, I
ordered some immediately. I got her
the transfer factor classic. I also made an appointment for a phone
consultation with Dr. Charles Loops, DVM,
who I also found on this website.
For Mya's first appointment back at MSU's vet
hospital, two days after she arrived home, her red blood cell count came
back at 19. It had increased one point, so they were very happy.
They said it would slowly increase, if she was going to pull through.
When I got home from her appointment, my transfer factor had arrived in
the mail. I started giving it to her in a high dose immediatley.
I also changed her food from packaged dog food to homemade food.
Her next appointment was in two days. When I took her in, they did
her blood test again and were shocked because her count came back at 38!!!!
She was in the normal range again. I was told that we still needed
to keep her on her medicine for the 6 months and then see how she was doing
because that was there protocol. This was very upsetting because
she was not the same dog on the medicine, and I knew it was toxic.
But they scare you into thinking that if you take her off, she will die.
The next week I received the remedies that Dr. Loops sent me. I started
her on those right away too. I also decided at that time to go against
what the vet's told me, and I took her off all of her medicine, cold turkey
(she had been on them a total of 2 weeks - 1 week at the vet, and 1 week
at home) I was very nervous, but I wanted her to recover naturally.
I didn't want to have those medicines destroy her little body, and then
have more problems later on.
Mya went through a week of withdrawal.
Each day she got better and better. After a week, she was the same
dog again. I had my little Mya back! I have not given her any
medicine since, and I have never taken her back to the vet for a checkup
and she's doing wonderful!! I still have her eating homemade dog
food. She takes vitamins and fish oil daily, and I still give her
transfer factor a couple of times a week. It's now the end of November
(8 months later) and she has not had one symptom since. I am so greatful
that I was able to find this website! I believe this was the answer
to my prayers. The knowledge I was able to gain was priceless.
It saved my dog!!! Danielle

recover from Auto Immune Haemolytic Anaemia (AIHA)

My 7 year old black lab mix, Katy, was recently diagnosed with advanced
Hodgkins. When my vet felt her lymph nodes, he went ashen and his
voice trembled when he gave me the news. I have always given her
the very best food I could find - avoiding 4D (dead, dying, diseased, disabled).
The lymph nodes in her neck (5 or 6 lumps) and on the back of her rear
legs were the size of grapes. The vet recommended an oncologist and
said a series of shots would be anywhere from $80 to $150 each and even
then there were no guarantees since this process is soooooo hard on living
things. Since I have ALWAYS persued alternative therapies, I decided
to "see" you first. I found the information regarding Dr.
Johanna Budwig and immediately put Katy on the cottage cheese/flax
diet along with an all natural RAW diet (raw
meat and vegetables every day, raw natural eggs {with the shell 2-3X/week},
and fresh clean bones once or twice a week). In addition, I chose
to add two liquid herbs that det! ox her liver.
She has been on this program for three weeks and I am truly amazed.
The swollen lymph nodes are all but back to normal (you can just barely
feel a swelling, but only if you really probe). The only "side effect"
of this program is that since she is absorbing most of the food she eats,
her stool is very small. Actually, the stool has looked and felt strange
(yes, I probe her stool to see what's coming out), but I credit that to
the detox.
I passed this diet on to a 78 year old friend with advanced cancer.
Three weeks ago she was unbelievably yellow and slept most of the day.
As of today, she is returning to her normal coloring and actually has energy.
While she was in hospice for two weeks, she kept bugging the staff to make
sure that we brought her the required "shake" of cottage cheese, flax,
and fresh fruit. Another friend is circulating the program like wildfire
to all of our friends.
I hope my comments will encourage others to look into this program before
they lose a friend (4-legged or otherwise) to this horrible disease called
cancer. Although Katy is not completely out of the woods, her remarkable
improvement in just three short weeks has me very excited to
continue this for the rest of her life.
P.S. Admitting that her yearly innoculations
are probably a contributing factor to getting cancer in the first place,
my vet VOLUNTARILY offered me a letter to submit to the county so that
Katy never has to get shots again.

I just read your annuoncement in Homeopathy Online. My chocolate Lab,
Sidney, was diagnosed with a hot spot (on
top of his head) by our orthodox vet and presecribed an anti-biotic/corticosteroid
ointment. Needless to say, the hot spot got worse - and larger. A week
later I took Sidney to see our homoeopathic vet and he was given Phosphorus
200 and and Ayurvedic gel (called Phytogel, made from Himalayan cedar and
for veterinary use only) to use topically. Within 24 hours there was a
marked improvement; there bleeding and oozing stopped completely within
48 hours and now, a week later, he's back to normal with signs of hair
regrowth! Diane Trembath
PS. Our vet is Richard Allport. He's one of the best-known homoeopathic
vets in the UK and has two excellent books out at the moment: Heal Your
Dog the Natural Way and Heal Your Cat the Natural Way. I think you can
get them in the US. They're certainly available via Amazon.com.
Incidentally, I found your website about 18 months ago when I was working
on my thesis 'The role of classical homoeopathy in animal welfare.'. I

Thank you very much for your e-mail and the help you have rendered in
my search for a cure for my beloved Sheltie who has kidney failure. I am
indeed grateful for your speedy reply to my queries on Tansfer Factor.
I am elated that I could purchase the product here in Singapore and did
not have to waste precious time, ordering it from the US.
Yes, I have put my Sheltie on Transfer Factor and
Goji
Juice as you have recommended and he is doing fine. The Vet has told
me to bring my dog back after a week but I felt that she could not do very
much for him (she has already told me that the illness was progressive
and that there was no cure). Also, she gave me I MONTH'S supply of medication
( for a possible bladder infection which was later found that my dog did
not have) for my dog's skin eruptions, TWO weeks of antibiotics based on
my dog's history of tick fever (which he tested positive for as a carrier,
but his blood tests showed that his blood range is normal), and another
medication for high blood pressure ( which was normal during the visit)
which she said was for the high protein level in his blood/urine.
I continued with the medications for a week after I brought my dog back
and then stopped as I felt that my dog was already fighting for his life
with his weaker kidneys and I did'nt think it / that I was doing
enough.
Then I discovered your Wesite which is a Godsent!!. We prayed so hard
and God answered! It is a miracle that my sister and I discovered Shirley's
Wellness Cafe; A MAJOR Miracle because without it, we would not have been
able to treat my sheltie holisticly and give him a fighting chance. I also
read the valuable advice given by the vets on your website ( which the
vets here will never tell you) on continuing with the intravenous subtaneously
ie. under the skin, with sodium lactate or Hartman's solution as it helps
flush out the toxins in the body as well as help hydrate the dog. My Vet
had given me 3 bottles of Hartman's for 6 day's supply but after that,
I continued on my own to give my sheltie the intravenous up to 3 to 4 times
a weak as instructed by the vet on your website. IT IS VERY
VALUABLE ADVICE INDEED!!. I cannot thank you and God enough.
It has been over a month and my precious sheltie is fine. I thank god
eveery day that he is still with me. I also changed the diet : No more
canned food or packet kibble food for my sheltie. My vet gave me Hill's
prescriptive can food and told me to put my dog on it from now on. It was'nt
a good idea as the food was terribly bland and he did not want it after
a while. Also it was food that was not 'fresh' or 'alive'. I now prepare
fresh human grade foods for all my dogs. I realise the truth in feeding
pets with freshly prepared, live foods for the nutrients that it contains
so that the body can heal itself. - Ms Mary Ann, Singapore

I began being concerned with a dog I had that at 6 was severely crippled
with arthritis. I switched his diet to Solid Gold and raw foods along with
antioxidants and SOD, and low and behold he was fine!! He lived an extra
2 1/2 years that he would not have had otherwise. Since then I have gone
completely to home made foods, raw foods, and the difference is remarkable.
I am now raising my first litter on raw foods
and try to get new owners to try it. Some do and some think it is
too much work which really it isn't!!
Now that I have made this switch, I am extremely concerned about
vaccines.
I just recently gave any dog over 2 just parvo and rabies vaccines. Under
2 they got booster shots. I have been looking for
nosodes and don't know where I can get them from. There are no homeopathic
vets around my area (central Ontario Canada) and I was wondering if you
could steer me in the right direction!!

In feeding raw foods I have noticed that with my oldest Saluki (almost
6 years) she began acting much more playful and happier. She started looking
for toys to play with, having not showed much interest in years. Her coat
is more plush. I am curious to see how she will be when she is in season
as previously she went off all kibble (light bulb!!!) and would only eat
cooked chicken and beef. The younger one (2years) is calmer and also has
a beautiful, glistening coat. I feed organic beef (ground) with organic
veggies. I give organic dog biscuits (bought) or cookies that I make myself
on occasion.

I have a Cat who is now 19 years old. Three months ago I started giving
my cat an Enzyme Product distributed by Quest IV Health in Arlington, TX
(EnzyMega). I started taking this product for myself but i had heard of
the famous 900 cat study involding cooked and raw food and what it did
to the cats. I was watching my cat closely for results. She had a lumpy
chest ( I don't know what she had there, it could have been just fat tissue
or tumors) she also had a lumpy stomach from a previous operation and her
fur was looking like it does when the cat is sick not very silky or smooth
but sticky and matted. Two days after giving her the enzymes
(about half a capsule with each meal sprinkled on it) her lumpy chest disappeared
and her lumpy stomach as well and her fur was back to it's beautiful shine,
she goes now to her litter box and when she comes out she is not looking
"spooked" and running around and crying. She has noticed that we're doing
something good for her and eats with an appetite that she never had before
I'm sure she has a lot of the degenerative illnesses that cats get but
i don't know which ones because i'm afraid to take her to the vet since
he would only give her drugs that harm worse. For more info you may

Cedric was found by my daughter,14 years ago, behind one of our out-buildings
in Washington state. He was much too small and young to be weaned,
but we had no idea where he came from. Two days previous I had prayed
for a little kitten of my own because I had recently lost my precious dog
and thought perhaps a kitten would be nice to have. It was love at first
sight with Cedric (Cedric means little soldier). I had to feed him
every two hours day and night for three weeks before he finally began to
look like he might survive. His entire life has been a wonder.
He has even survived snakebite. When I brought him home two weeks ago from
ICU it looked as though he might not survive again, after being diagnosed
with CRF and badly dehydrated, vomiting and had diahrea. He is on subcutaneous
fluids twice each week. I did much research on the web immediately.
Your website has been most informative. I read that dandelion was good
for him, also peppermint: both of which I grow and use for myself, so I
made a medium strong infusion of this. It was cooled and to it I
added a small amount of raw apple cider vinegar and three drops of liguid
stevia. I keep about 1 cup of this in the refrigerator to add to his regimen
daily. He gets 1/2 teaspoon of this each morning and evening. Here
is the recipe for his supplemental mixture. This is given by dropper and
he really does not seem to mind taking it.
1/8 t. (150 mg.) calcium carbonate
100 mg. taurine (free form)
3 drops agaricus mushroom extract (1/4 ml)
6 drops bladderwrack (1/2 ml)
1/2 t. Miracle II neutralizer liguid
This is all mixed together daily and given by dropper two times
each day. One time each day I add 100 mg of salmon oil and a small sprinkle
from a capsule of Solaray Super Digestaway for enzyme activity. He loves
spirulina so I sprinkle a small amount of this on his food.
By the end of his first week home our Vet could not believe the difference
in him. He has gained back about one or more pounds of his weight and they
had told me he would not gain any back and that I should simply make him
as comfortable as possible. His fur is fluffy again, he has not vomited
even once, and his diahrea is practically gone. He is regaining some of
his feistyness. I am very hopefull now.
Subject: Healthier Bird

I have part of my own personal experience with our cockatiel that taught
me a lesson. Our bird, Star, was laying eggs too frequently and getting
worn out. We took her to a vet who claimed he knew what he was doing and
I believed him! He gave her a birdie birth control shot! She became miserable!
She gained almost twice her weight and became very depressed. She was so
heavy that she could not fly!! So I put her on bird seed from a health
food store which does not contain any additives. She ate from our fresh
organic salads as she chose. And I insisted to my husband that she only
be given distilled water--not tap! She rested a lot and ate. She lost her
weight on her own accord. She started flying and was a happy bird again.
And she looked a lot younger! Now she is more healthy and is not having
so many problems with laying eggs too often! Her cycle seems well adjusted.
Hmh. Humans need these same health rules! ;-) I learned something from
my bird.

Fighting fibroid breast tumors and paralysis in a cat with vegetable
juice
"I am pleased to say we are successfully fighting fibroid breast tumors
and paralysis of the hindquarters brought on by colon cancer, and while
I did have to use a few homeopathic medicines at first to reverse the kidney
damage, the bulk of the credit goes to the juices."
"One month ago, this cat's hindquarters became paralyzed, and she was
forced to ambulate by dragging herself by her forelegs only; bowel movements
became virtually nonexistent. After one week of steady juicing, elimination
functions have resumed and her rear legs are moving again! If you have
not already gotten a copy, please check out Dr.
Jensen's book, Foods that Heal. It might be something you would want
to sell in conjunction with your juicers;
the combination would almost assuredly generate "happy customer" letters
of gratitude. It efficiently presents in layman's terms how to heal using
food and juice combinations based on the chemical elements contained therein.
Of course, in pets, you just have to give very small portions (literally,
1/2-teaspoon amounts) to see results. And because the right combination
of juices will taste good to them, animals willingly take the juice mixed
into their foods -- resulting in less stress on both owner and pet. So
now my cats get vegetable-only juice and the dogs get the pulp -- so there's
no waste -- all are getting healthy, and I'm saving $$$ on
vet bills."(Dogs and other animals may also greatly benefit from juice
therapy - Shirley)

We rescue only FeLV+/FIV+, disabled and chronically ill cats and kittens.
I believe nutrition is of primary importance to these cats and feed them
real food (as opposed to commercial cat food) as much as possible, including
fresh fish I catch in the summer. I've been online since late Dec. '99
and found your site while looking for natural diets for the cats. I'd feed
them 100% natural foods if I could, but I can't afford to and would have
to mix it by the bucket every day. Too bad I'm not rich. (Too bad we're
ALL not rich!) When they eat commercial cat food, they get diarrhea and
throw up, and they're hungry all the time. Natural foods; no diarrhea,
no vomiting, it sticks to their ribs and they look and act healthier. If
a cat is ill, I use as much natural foods as I can. It regains its strength
and health much faster. Dogs and cats survived for thousands of years without
commercial pet foods. I'm certain commercial pet foods are responsible
for illness and premature death in pets.
I rescued Tyrone, a10 days old abandoned kitten in June '01. He deteriorated,
lost weight, got terribly skinny and reached the point where he was so
weak, he hardly ate anything at all. At 9 months, he weighed about
2 pounds (should have been 5 pounds.) I started feeding him fresh,
raw red meat (sirloin and round) several times a day. Within a couple
of days, he started feeling more energetic. He ate more at once.
He's been gobbling down four plates of it a day, a good amount at a sitting,
plus a can of kitten food. Tonight, he came up on the couch and we
noticed that he was finally starting to get meat on his bones where there
had just been ribs sticking out before. I know he has a ways to go,
he's too small and I feel there's something congenital wrong with him,
but since he's been getting the raw meat, he's gotten much better.
He has also been helping himself to dinner off my plate, potatoes, veggies
and all. (more info about

Crosley, an eight year old grey tabby, was very depressed over the death
of his companion feline friend Z. She had a severe diaphramatic hernia
and no detectable diaphram and still lived 7 years! Crosley lost his appetite
and stopped drinking. We took him to the vet and found he had a severe
infection with a white cell count over 50,000. After leaving him for 3
days on IV fluids and antibiotics he had a white cell count over 72,000!
The vet said it could be cancer but the x rays looked ok. Plus he had fluid
in his chest around his lungs. She sent him home pretty much to die.
After doing some web research we came across your site. We decided there
was nothing to loose and tried a mixture of Essiac
tea and wheat grass juice force fed with a
dropper. He seemed sicker the next day but we kept on giving it to
him. On the third day he started to eat a little and slept at the end of
our bed instead of hiding in the closet. By the fifth day he was more alert
and hungry and was drinking on his own. Two weeks later he is acting like
he did at age 2! He is friendly, active playfull, energetic, doesn't have
dandruff and his coat is soft and glossy! We call this his miracle juice.
I never would have expected such dramatic results when two weeks ago I
thought we were going to bury another pet! Hope this might help someone
else.
Jan. 8 to Aug 2003 - The testimony
about Sambo our cat - (born July 1985) - We can hardly believe the
recovery Sambo is making. As of last July he had lost 10 pounds (he
had been 16 #) could hardly get up and down the stairs, slept a lot and
dumped around. Walked like he was 100 yrs. old and we were sure we were
going to loose him. He wasn't eating very much either. He slowly
was getting worse and worse. He was so skinny and his fur got matted
and terrible and then he started pulling his fur out - completely on both
sides of his body. It was an area 2" long and full length of his
body and on both sides. We never took him to the vet because we thought
he was just getting old and we would just have to accept the fact that
we won't have him very much longer.
We had just heard about Transfer Factor and we thought if it helps humans,
maybe it will help our kitty. We thought maybe Transfer Factor would
at least make him feel better and we started giving him 1-capsule of Transfer
Factor on Jan. 8, 2003 (which was the first day Wayne came to our home
to have a meeting for some of our friends to introduce them to Transfer
Factor - which was new to us too!).
Right away we could tell that Sambo was getting better and so on Jan.
15, 2003 we increased the dose to 2 capsules a day. His
speedy recovery was hard to believe. He had regained 1/2 lb. by Jan. 18th
and his fur was growing back on both sides and the rest of his fur was
looking much better too. It had become very matted and ugly. Energy?
He is bouncing up and down the stairs, up and down from the bathroom sink
( he loves to drink the running water but hadn't been able to make the
jump for months) and hardly lays down for naps. Previously, he had
been sleeping a lot. Once again he is following Neil everywhere as
he had done for so many years, he was like our 'young' Sambo again and
we knew he was going to be fine!!
It is now Oct 2003 and he is still doing very, very good.
Has a good appetite, has energy, doesn't sleep very much in the daytime
as we would expect an old cat to do and has a lovely new fur coat.
At this point, we decided to try the Feline formula instead of the TF human
formula.
Update Dec. 19, 2003. We had to stop giving our cat the Feline Complete
formula because Sambo started going down the hill and losing weight. The
Feline Formula did not agree with him. After we resumed giving him Transfer
Factor Plus (human formula) Sambo started doing very well again We
are going to get to enjoy our pet longer which pleases us very, very much..

I have a dog that my vet had on numerous antibiotics for months
with no "complete" accomplishments. The dog was tested for many things
and all came back as negative. Next my vet told me they needed to refer
me to another vet for more testing, they had no clue to her problem. This
is when I discovered your site!!! I am feeding her BARF
now and treating my dog with herbs and vitamins I am taking pictures of
her progress as she heals. This is on my bulldog, on her rear area, hind
right leg, upper portion about 6 months ago a cyst looking thing appeared
on her. To the vet we went. You have heard the story~ It got better never
well and then flares on her, vicious cycle.
Now, I have stopped ALL chemical use on her. A homeopathy
doctor advised me to give her one dose of hepar sulphruis 200c, which
I am expecting to receive any day I had to special order this. I was told
to wait 30 days and check for improvement. If still a problem to give one
dose of Silicea 200c and wait. I'm telling ya if pictures of seeing her
doesn't make a believer of one to stop these chemicals, then shame on 'em!
She will turn 3yrs old this May, she's a sweetheart and it breaks my heart
when she gives me the moon shot (so to speak) and I see her bo-bo. I just
can't really give Thanks enough to you for every thing you offer on your

Subject: Ebonique and nutrition
Date:14 April 2001
From: Eileen Poole FelineCompanion@aol.com
We got Ebonique about a year ago. She's about 4 years old, I
think. We had to keep her in the upstairs bathroom because she was
so afraid of the other cats. About 2 weeks ago, I noticed that her
food wasn't touched. She was drooling all over everything.
She also had very small, hard bowel movements. Brought her downstairs and
put her in a cage in the livingroom and observed her. She drooled constantly
and made no attempt to eat or drink. Examining her, I found some
very bad teeth and raw, bleeding ulcers in her mouth on the gum line.
I started her on Amoxi drops and raw chicken. Not much response at
first, but in a couple of days, she was eating the chicken and the drooling
lessened. I've been feeding her only raw chicken and beef and now,
she's esting very well, the drooling has stopped and her bowel is much
more normal. Soon, she will be healthy enough for dentistry.
As we're able to afford it, I'm feeding the positive cats more raw meats
and less canned cat food. They're hungry less often and appear to
be in better shape than they were when they ate canned cat food. Sourpuss,
my old lady (22 or 23) eats raw meat several times a day. She has
a habit of falling asleep with her face in the dish of food. (Have
to get a photo of that - it's hysterical!) Eventually, I hope to be able
to feed only natural food. I am convinced that there are things in
commercial cat foods that are affecting their health. They do so much better
on a natural diet. Eileen

"Just thought to update you on my dog Chance, almost 10 year old
Australian Kelpie, who was diagnosed with a Lipo Sarcoma. This is quite
different than a Lymphoma.A Lipo Sarcoma is rare particularly in dogs and
or cats. It is more common in people. Anyway, the moral of the story is
that Chance is doing fantastic. His change in diet, the supplements, flax
oil and all the support from people like yourself and your site has
helped out considerably.
The vets said that his chances of survival were slim. From just a little
over 3 weeks ago when he was first diagnosed, the swelling on his front
left leg where the Sarcoma was pronounced has gone down considerably.
He is walking on it with no problem, and is back to his nutty crazy personality.
Although the diet change was an initial shock on his system, it is well
worth it. Maybe I should have changed his diet to raw food more gradually
but I believe that a shcok to the body is sometimes beneficial. Chance
didnt want to eat for about 2 and a half days because of the changes and
the supplements. But I wasn't concerned about him not eating because I
knew that fasting is beneficial to a sick animal. Fasting allows the system
to focus its energy toward healing the cancer. Now he eats like a champ
again.
Here's his diet

Raw meats (Beef, chicken,
fish (whole)
Puree vegetables (Mostly
any kind)
Flax
oil (in water and mixed in his puree vegetables and raw meats

not alot. Also, for a dog

Hi Shirley,
I just wanted to thank you for your site and send you my story so you
can post it if you like. My cat, Madison, was sick. At first it started
with one eye and one nostril kind of running and him sneezing. Then I began
to see something inside his one nostril. Within a week it grew so that
it was even with his nostril. Obviously he couldn't breathe well and he
sneezed a lot. I took him to the vet and they snipped a bit of it off and
did a biopsy. That was on Aug 25th. On Sept. 7th they called to tell me
that it was most likely cancer. It wasn't for absolute sure, but it seemed
to be lymphoma and yes the thing in Maddie's nose was a tumor. Since the
doc had clipped it from sight, in a little over a week it had grown back
and was wider and bigger! I had resigned myself to the fact that my cat
of almost 14 years had cancer, but the idea that I had to look at it and
the fact that he was having so much trouble breathing was not acceptable
to me. I asked the doc how we could shrink the tumor and he said steroids
would do it, but only for a month or so. Then it wouldn't work anymore.
Besides chemo and all that there was little he said we could do. I told
him to get me some steroids and I would pick them up in a couple of days.
Poor Maddie, I could tell he was feeling basically ok. He wasn't a lump
or anything, he just wanted to be able to breathe and I wanted to help
him with that. The next day I went on line to look for homeopathic recipes
and found your site. I found the articles on how bad steroids were and
decided not to go that route. From a few mentions on your site I got a
game plan. I went to the natural food store and got the following : Flaxseed
Oil, Cat Vitamins and Licorice Root drops. I began giving him these
with as much high quality food he wanted, which was a lot. After a week
he seemed happier and the tumor didn't seem to be getting bigger and seemed
like it was less swollen. Then I went and got him the Blessed
Thistle (available
here)
. And Holy Cow! Soon with alternating all of these things,
his tumor began receding. In a week and a half it was completely gone,
he could breathe! His sneezing continued for a while and for one day he
sneezed blood, but that went away. It was like his whole sickness was running
in reverse. As of today, Oct 12, he is absolutely great. He is more energetic
and loving then he has been i years and his coat is shiny and he hardley
ever even sneezes anymore. His nose that use to have one side distorted
and swollen with a tumor in it is absolutely perect. it is a miracle and
I thank the people who posted on your site about the Blessed Thistle (available
here) and steroid problems and all of it and I thank you so much.
I still give him the herbs and vitamins and oil, but I don't do it as
often. About every other meal I just give him food. I totally had guessed
on how much to give him, but it seemed to work. If anyone is having this
problem with their animal feel free to contact me. Obviously I am not a
professional, but, anything I can do to help anyone
else in this situation would be a pleasure. Thanks again! Madison
thanks you, too!
Flaxseed oil cured a cat's tumor

The cat next door to my friends house had a large tumor on it's neck
and it would carry it's head to one side. The cat's owners
went on vacation and left instructions with the catsitter that if the animal
got worse to have it put down.
Having read of the Flaxseed Oil and
Cottage Cheese treatment on Shirley's website, I suggested it's use
to the catsitter. She fed the flaxseed oil and cottage cheese to
the cat for about two weeks. After that time the owners returned
and were surprised the cat was still around.
Soon we noticed that the tumor had shrunk and the cat's head was better
aligned. It has now been two years and the tumor has entirely disappeared
and the cat's head is almost perfect. The cat is still doing cat
things, like chasing birds and appears to be in perfect health.

free-radical scavengers, super oxide dismutases, nutrients, enzymes, hormones,
amino acids, antibiotics, antivirals, and antifungals); bee
pollen (rich in naturally occuring vitamins); kelp
(marine plants to enhance health and detoxify), the
right kind of salt
(not common table salt); clay
(to promote healing and to detoxify) and with flaxoil

CUSHINGS DISEASE in DOGS (see
Shirley's
note on cushing disease)
Bob and Maggie from Tucson, Arizona
email: ps91@aol.com
Many dogs get Cushings Disease just like some humans. Maggie (11-year
old cocker mix) was diagnosed with pituitary Cushings. This is where
a small tumor grows in or next to the pituitary gland causing it to produce
too much ACTH harmone which in turn causes the adrenal glands to produce
too much cortisol.
The symptoms of Cushings in a dog are a greatly increased hunger, increased
water consumption and heavy panting. The standard treatment at the
vets is the use of Lysodren, a type of chemo, which burns off the outer
cortex of the pituitary gland to reduce it's ACTH production. Lysodren
is difficult to adjust and blood checks must be done frequently.
I came across two online Cushings Support Boards, one of which
deals with Cushings treatment naturally. They recommended trying
"Phosphatidyl Serine gelcaps". PS is a natural soy product used to
increase memory retention in older humans and available at health stores.
I began using this product and within a short time Maggie had returned
to normal on the appetite and water consumption, but still had a bit of
panting. I increased the dosage somewhat and the panting has disappeared
and she is in remission - without the use of dangerous chemicals.
Maggie had also gone deaf due to the excess cortisol in her system.
Her hearing has now returned to almost normal.I also took her off the commercial
dog food and introduced her to a raw, grain free diet.
Bob and Maggie ps91@aol.com
Note
from Shirley: The adrenal glands of dogs with
Cushing’s disease (hyperadrenocortism) produce excessive amounts of cortisol,
a hormone with potent anti-inflammatory and immuno-suppressive effects.
The large amount of cortisol in the body suppresses the immune system and
allows the pet with Cushing’s disease to get bacterial infections. Sometimes
it is the adrenal glands themselves that cause the levels of cortisol to
rise if a tumor is present. Tumors may also be present in pituitary glands.
These tumors may be benign or malignant. Dogs that have been previously
treated for allergic conditions or immune disorders can also contract Cushing’s
disease from prolonged use of corticosteroid drugs. This is called
iatrogenic disease. If this is the case in the dog, the veterinarian will
reduce the current steroid treatment in to lower cortisone levels.
More
and more dogs and cats have immune system disorders and holistic veterinarians
believe that over-vaccination, over-medicating,
and poor nutrition are major causes. A growing
number of veterinarians use Transfer
Factor, (a natural immune modulator/booster) in their practices for
their cancer cases and other
chronic
cases, including cushing disease. Homeopathic remedies
have been effective when this condition is diagnosed in its early stages.

In 1994, when he was 6 years old, I took Sasha to the NY Animal Medical
Center after I noticed him favoring his back right leg. I had an appointment
with an Orthopedist, expecting a diagnosis of HD or arthritis. After looking
at Sasha, she called in a neurologist who pointed out Sasha's scraped nails
on his rear feet. He then explained Degenerative Myelopathy to me. It is
a degenerative, autoimmune disease that results in the victims' own immune
system attacking and destroying the myelin lining of the nerves in the
spinal column. It is VERY similar to the human diseases Multiple Sclerosis
and Lou Gehrig's Disease(ALS) The vet was very pessimistic, as there was
no known treatment, and the prognosis was bad. Most dogs's legs were
totally paralyzed within months. But I knew that Sasha was a fighter,
and so was I!.
During the vet visit I had mentioned that I was giving Sasha herbs and
vitamins, including Yucca, since I thought his condition was Arthritis.
The neurologist said that since I was interested in the 'natural' route,
I should continue with the vitamin E, as it was an antioxident, and
as such, it might be somewhat effective in this autoimmune disease.
I did hours and hours of research on the internet. At that time, I only
got 2 hits when I did a search on "Degenerative Myelopathy". Today,
there are many, many sites from which one could get help and support(Including
the DM support group to which I belong). I found out that indeed,
this was an automimmune disease, and free radicals were part of the problem.
The next thing I did was call a friend of mine who is into natural nutrition
He told me to take Sasha off meat immediately, as that is one of the greatest
sources of free radicals. (I had been giving him LAMB dog food..thinking
that was the best for his skin, and the least allergenic). As it
turned out, lamb is one of the fattiest meats, and therefore creates the
most free radicals. I changed Sasha's diet to pure vegetarian.
I got vegetarian dog food, and started do a lot of cooking for him myself.
At the time I had not heard of the raw food (BARF) diet, or I might have
tried it.
Sasha was never on any medication from a Vet. I gave him every antioxident
you can think of (Vit E, Vit C, Pycnogenol, Evening
Primrose Oil, Hi Lignan Flax Seed Oil and
Cottage Cheese, Lecithin, Garlic, Apple Cider Vinegar, Milk
Thistle for liver activity, Saw
Palmetto for Prostate, Hawthorne for heart protection, Vitamins
A,B-complex, D, Raw garlic, brewers yeast,Green tea capsules, Coenzyme-10,
Ginger, Prozyme). The only meat he ever ate was chicken, but mostly he
was a vegetarian. I usually cooked eggs, carrots, squash, many kinds of
beans, broccoli, tomatoes, tofu, lots of garlic, brown rice and whatever
other veggies I had around, into a stew for him. I would sometimes
add chicken. I took for chiropractic, and a swim therapy class. I noticed
an incredible improvement on this regimen. The swim therapy was terrrific
for his deteriorating stamina and muscle tone, as regular exercise took
a lot out of him. This was particularly true in the hot weat! her!
After a pretty short time, he was able to climb the stairs up to my room,
and jump on the bed again. Sasha lived for years on this regimen.
He was active and happy until end. Sadly, Sasha died five years after the
DM diagnosis, from BLOAT...but he was still able walk and climb stairs(altho
slowly by the end) when he crossed the bridge.

There
are testimonials about animals recovering from cancer, diabetes, autoimmune
disease and other severe degenerative illnesses with a nutritional product
called Transfer Factor. "My colleagues and I have
found this product (transfer factor) to be very effective in modulating
the immune system. Transfer factor is a "soup" of immune-modulating factors,
which contains a leukocyte-type molecule that can passively transfer immunity
from one mammal to another by stimulating cell-mediated immunity and is
antigen specific. Richard Bennett, Ph.D., an Infectious Disease Microbiologist
and Immunologist from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary
Medicine, believes this could be the most significant development in animal
health care in decades. We have a great number of veterinarians and clients
who are experiencing very positive results in a broad area of disorders,
including periodontal." Charles W. Brown, DVM mor
Holistic
veterinarians teach that processed pet food (meaning COOKED food) is the
main cause of illness and premature death in the modern dog and cat. In
December 1995, the British Journal of Small Animal Practice published a
paper contending that processed pet food suppresses the immune system and
leads to liver, kidney, heart and other diseases. This research, initially
conducted by Dr Tom Lonsdale, was researched further by the Australian
Veterinary Association and proven to be correct. For a return to
health, pets require a diet which strengthens the immune system and most
closely resembles that which they would get in the wild (meaning RAW food).
Grains are NOT part of the natural diet of wild dogs and cats. Carnivores
cannot maintain long term production of the quantity of amylase enzyme
necessary to properly digest and utilize the carbohydrates. raw

There
are newest research on why you should avoid feeding soy
products to your animals (soy products are extensively used in pet food).
"...the soybean contains large quantities of natural toxins or "antinutrients".
First among them are potent enzyme inhibitors that block the action of
trypsin and other enzymes needed for protein digestion. These inhibitors
are large, tightly folded proteins that are not completely deactivated
during ordinary cooking. They can produce serious gastric distress, reduced
protein digestion and chronic deficiencies in amino acid uptake. In test
animals, diets high in trypsin inhibitors cause enlargement and pathological
conditions of the pancreas, including cancer. Soybeans also contain haemagglutinin,
a clot-promoting substance that causes red blood cells to clump together.
Trypsin inhibitors and haemagglutinin are growth inhibitors." Sally

Shirley, I'd like to share with you the wonderful success I've had in
treating my dog's severe licking and biting with all natural and safe combination
homeopathic remedies products.
For over two years, my---now almost 4 year old--Golden Retriever- Hannah-
licked and bit her front legs so badly that they were bleeding and raw.
I worked with my veterinarian as well as specialists-- a dermatologist
at a well known animal hospital and an animal chiropractor. No relief.
I obtained lab testing, found out what Hannah was allergic to, gave her
monthly shots and adjusted her food to avoid anything she was allergic
to. No relief. Tried various all natural products from health foods stores.
No relief. She continued to, literally, eat herself. Tried various antihistamines.
!Nothing. Tried vetalog. That helped a little--but has many side affects.
In desperation, tried prozac and elavil. Nothing. Talked about consulting
with a homeopathic veterinarian but the first hour rate was $90.00. In
a brief interview, it was recommended that I purchase Dr.
Pitcairn's Complete Guide to Natural Health for Dogs and Cats". When
I did so, many of the recommended diets included ingredients that Hannah
was allergic to. Hannah had to wear a plastic cone around her neck to prevent
her from biting herself to a bloody mess.
Finally, last April '99, I learned about two homeopathic combination
remedies for allergies and stress which I gave to Hannah. I gave her first
the remedy for allergies, which produced almost immediate improvement and
relief, which lasted for a few weeks. When I noticed that Hannah began
to to lick and bite her legs again, (although this time it wasn't nearly
as severe as it used to be) I gave her the second remedy (used for stress
and compulsive behaviors), along with the first remedy.
Hannah has done well since. The introduction of these products has made
a world of difference, where nothing else did. Occasionally, she "licks"
again--but nothing like before. I usually find that when this happens,
she! also has an ear infection (Goldens seem prone to them!). I just give
her more of these remedies until "the emergency" is over and she heals
and stabilizes quickly. Cats, too, are treated regularly with these remedies.
I am so enthousiastic about the incredible positive response that animals
(and people) experience with these safe and effective remedies, that I
want to share this information with everyone I know.

Transition to raw food
Charlotte Oppe
Sent: Thursday, November 08, 2001
email: mailto:c.oppe2@ntlworld.com
Dear Shirley,
It’s been a long time since I last wrote to you and I thought I should
write and tell you about Coll’s progress. The transition to raw food went
smoothly enough and there was noticeable improvement in his general condition
but there was clearly a more serious problem with his skin. By Easter,
with the first of the warm weather his skin had deteriorated so badly that
he had to go back onto antibiotics and steroids. However this time I found
a new vet who, though sadly not homeopathic had healthy SUSPICIONS about
modern pet food (the first vet that I have met to have this attitude).
That said, he knew nothing about raw feeding. He gave me an anti-fungal
wash as he said fungal infections were often a complication of mange. The
wash worked a treat and within a couple of months I was able to return
with a beautifully healthy dog. I have to say his reaction was that he
was surprised that the dog had healed so well and that there were no scars.
The ear infections have continued for some time but the problem is only
with one ear now and over the summer with repeated use of ear cleansers
and drops a lot of hard wax has come out. His condition is really good.
I am amazed at how good his coat is, shiny and sweet smelling. No fleas
or tics this year. He doesn’t moult as much as he used to and everyone
comments on how healthy he looks. He is much more obedient and responsive
to command (and they say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks!)
His feeding programme is as follows:
Big Labrador (approx 34 kilos or 74lbs)
1 ? lbs of either raw beef (flank – usually used for beef burgers and is
quite fatty) or organic chicken. I give him half a whole chicken and cut
it up in pieces, bones and all. I usually give 4/5 days beef and 4 days
chicken. It seems like a lot of meat but he is the correct weight now.
I have noticed that his stools are harder when I fed him chicken bones
than beef (same amount of veg.)
? lb of selected raw organic veg including cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage,
carrot and celery. I have had a few problems with him being sick and it
seems that if I feed him MORE veg than this he is sick. I mix it with some
of the meat in the food processor and some water.
Organic flax oil.

Routine
Vaccination: Is it really safe and effective?
Dr. Richard Pitcairn D.V.M. Ph.D - "In this article we begin
to address the subject of vaccinosis, the general name for chronic dis-ease
caused by vaccines. For some readers the very idea that vaccines are anything
but wonderful and life-saving may come as a surprise, and it's not a very
pleasant one. After all, the general population pictures vaccines as one
of modern medicine's best and brightest moments, saving literally millions
from the scourge of diseases like poliomyelitis and smallpox. "
Dr. McCluggage DVM - - "...we must stop advocating yearly
vaccines because of the harm we are doing to the animals we vaccinate.
He covered the homeopathic concept of "vaccinosis". Vaccinosis is a disease
entity that may be introduced through vaccinating animals or people. Once
vaccinosis develops, there is a disturbance in the bodies vital forces
that leads to symptoms of chronic disease that can be very difficult (and
often impossible) to cure. Dr. McCluggage also stated that there are no
good reasons to recommend annual vaccinations for our companion animals.
"
Donna Starita Mehan DVM -"Routine" vaccination has adverse side-effects,
either short or long term. With vaccines that are repeated year after year,
the frequency and severity of these side-effects in our pets has increased
dramatically. Most of the problems involve the immune system. After all,
the immune system is what vaccines are designed to stimulate. But they
do so in a very unnatural way that can overwhelm and confuse the immune
system and can result in increased susceptibility to acute infections (such
as ear infections in dogs, bladder infections in cats), chronic tapeworm
problems, or in more degenerative cases, cancer."

in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association entitled
"Are We Vaccinating Too Much?" Read the comments
of veterinarians who believe that vaccines are damaging our pets.
Improving Your Animal's
Immune System and Overall Health with Nutritional Support
A groundswell of nutrition conscious veterinarians are beginning to
recommend to their clients that they supplement their animals diet with
a daily dose of flaxseed oil and other important nutrients. When the diets
of animals were fortified with flax, within three weeks their coats developed
a beautiful sheen, and dandruff was greatly diminished. There are amazing
testimonials about animals recovering from cancer, diabetes and other severe
degenerative illnesses with a nutritional product called Transfer Factor.
"My colleagues and I have found this product (transfer factor)
to be very effective in modulating the immune system. Transfer factor is
a "soup" of immune-modulating factors, which contains a leukocyte-type
molecule that can passively transfer immunity from one mammal to another
by stimulating cell-mediated immunity and is antigen specific. Richard
Bennett, Ph.D., an Infectious Disease Microbiologist and Immunologist from
the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, believes
this could be the most significant development in animal health care in
decades. We have a great number of veterinarians and clients who are experiencing
very positive results in a broad area of disorders, including periodontal.

SICK OF DRUGGING YOUR PET?
Dr Charles E Loops DVM - "After
10 years of traditional veterinary practice I became tired of having no
treatment for chronic disease, incurable conditions, and a plethora of
allergic maladies which seem to plague all veterinary practices. I was
frustrated with giving animals cortisone because
I had no other solutions, or using antibiotics
for infections which I knew were of viral origin. There is so much that
can be done for an animal, bird, or reptile that is ailing by utilizing
homeopathic medicine."
For years dog health supplies have included toxic
materials to artificially maintain dog health as a temporary measure.
The time has come to change to a more natural approach toward animal health.
Natural remedies have been shown to achieve more immediate, more complete
and longer lasting health, vitality, quality and longevity of animal lives.

Michael Dym, VMD - "Over the past 40 years and 17 generations
of dogs and, cats we are seeing tremendous increases in chronic ill health
in our pets that was rare back in the early 1960's. Most of these illnesses
revolve around breakdown in our pets' immune systems, and include chronic
skin/ear allergies, digestive upset, thyroid/adrenal/pancreatic disorders,
seizures, gum/ teeth problems, degenerative arthritis, kidney/liver failure,
and cancer across all ages and breeds. We are also seeing a record number
of behavioral and emotional disorders including alarming and unexplained
fears/aggression., as well as difficulty focusing/training and paying attention.
The analogy of these compared with escalating immune/behavioral diseases
in children is quite disturbing. The two biggest factors in our pets' population
health decline over these generations has been the severe overuse
of multiple vaccines and nutrient poor and toxin
filled commercial pet foods. We have also failed to address the underlying
cause of disease by only sup pressing symptoms with antibiotics,
cortisone
and related drugs, so the disease progresses and goes deeper. Homeopathy
offers a viable alternative in truly curing pets and making their bodies
healthier."
Dr. Pat Bradley, DVM, Conway, USA - "The most common problems
I see that are directly related to vaccines
on a day to day basis are ear or skin
conditions, such as chronic discharges and
itching.
I also see behaviour problems such as fearfulness
or aggression. Often guardians will report
that these begin shortly after vaccination, and are exacerbated with every
vaccine. In a more general and frightening context, I see the overall health
and longevity of animals deteriorating. The bodies of most animals have
a tremendous capacity to detoxify poisons, but they do have a limit. I
think we often exceed that limit and over-whelm the body's immune system
function with toxins from vaccines, poor quality foods,
insecticides, environmental toxins, etc. This
is why we've seen such a dramatic increase in allergies,
organ failures, and behaviour problems." (NOTE:
a growing number of holistic veterinarians use
Transfer Factor before and after vaccination to minimize the side effects
and help the animal recover)
Dr. Blanco, D.V.M - "You take healthy animals
and often very quickly after you vaccinate, you
can see simple things like itching of the
skin or
excessive
licking of the paws, sometimes even with no
eruptions. We see a lot of epilepsy,
often after a rabies vaccination. Or dogs or cats can become aggressive
for several days. Frequently, you'll see urinary
tract infections in cats, often within three months after their
[annual] vaccination. If you step back, open your mind and heart, you'll
start to see patterns of illness post-vaccination." more

Will Falconer, DVM - "Most of the chronic diseases we commonly
see in animals (and humans) have an immune basis, e.g. diabetes, allergies,
asthma, thyroid disease, inflammatory bowel diseases, repeated ear infections,
cancer, etc. While they can be cured through the careful use of homeopathy,
the road to cure can be a long one -- often years if the animal has had
years of disease. Transfer factors can significantly shorten the course,
by giving a much needed balancing effect to the immune system. If the immune
system is overactive as in allergies, ear infections, asthma, diabetes,
or hypothyroidism, Transfer Factor can balance this overactivity so the
system is not attacking its own organs, overreacting to things that shouldn’t
be perceived as a threat. If, conversely, the immune system is under-active
as in mange, parasites, viral infections, or cancer, Transfer
Factor Plus can clearly stimulate it to better meet the challenges
it needs to be alert to." Prevaccination
Protection Dr. Falconer D.V.M. explains how to protect your animal
from vaccines damage
Sam Jones, DVM - "Two cats, both about 8 years old, had severe
diabetes. It was impossible to get the insulin requirements adjusted. They
had lost weight to a point that they were skin and bones. Both cats had
no quality of life left. After one week of being on transfer
factors; we were able to get their insulin requirements adjusted. It
is now 6 months and they have regained their weight and have a great quality
of life and health."
Our
pets are prone to suffer from minerals and trace mineral deficiency. For
optimum health, I supplement my animal's diet (and my diet too) with the
following: fulvic minerals , marine
phytoplankton (consist of an immense arsenal and array of naturally
occuring powerful phytochemicals, biochemicals, supercharged antioxidants,
free-radical scavengers, super oxide dismutases, nutrients, enzymes, hormones,
amino acids, antibiotics, antivirals, and antifungals), bee
pollen (rich in naturally occuring vitamins),
kelp
(marine plants),
the right kind of salt
(not
common table salt) and therapeutic clay (to
promote healing and to detoxify) and with omega 3
oils. Shasta does not drink
tap water. I give her only
energized,
alkaline microwater which is free from toxic chlorine and fluoride.
I never cook or warm up food in a microwave
oven. Please read about the Hidden Hazards of
Microwave Cooking. Shirley
Just like humans, domesticated animals like dogs and cats are affected
by the health hazards of modern living. Pollution, poor nutrition, stress
and unhealthy lifestyles can lead to a variety of illnesses and conditions
that are very similar to those experienced by humans. These days, emotional
and psychological problems like depression, anxiety, ADHD and behavioral
problems are just as prevalent in pets as they are in their owners. Similarly,
physical ailments such as diabetes,
arthritis, chronic fatigue, digestive disorders, cystitis, kidney and liver
disease, skin disorders, obesity, thyroid dysfunction and other problems
are becoming more and more common in domesticated animals. Many, if not
most of these conditions can be prevented by helping your pets to live
a healthier lifestyle. For pets already suffering from existing conditions,
a combination of lifestyle changes and natural medicine can work wonders!
Dr. John Hanover, DVM - "Young puppies and kittens with
respiratory infections are given Shipibo
Treasure Tea which they will lap up even when they will not drink water.

animals and our Search and Rescue dogs.” more...

CHLORINATED
and FLUORIDATED WATER.... A BIG NO-NO !!! There
is a perception among many people that bottled water is somehow more healthy
or pure than water from their tap. This is simply an illusion of marketing.
A four-year study by the National Resources Defense Council (NRDC), released
in 1999, found that one-fifth of the sampled bottled waters contained known
neurotoxins and carcinogens such as styrene, toluene and xylene. Another
NRDC study found that, out of 103 brands of bottled water, one-third contained
traces of arsenic and E. coli. This means that out of a sample of 1,000
bottles sold in the U.S., at least 300 would have some level of chemical
contamination. It is well known that the average city water today contains
over 500 chemicals that do not belong in it. Part of this is due to the
fact that most delivery systems in the U.S. include cement, asbestos pipes,
cast iron, PVC (porous to certain solvents, herbicides and pesticides)
and that lead, cadmium and other toxic metals leach out of valves and couplings
of pipes between a water treatment plant and a faucet in the home. Why
Purified and Distilled Bottled Water are Bad For You and Your Animals
Safe,
toxin-free, Ionized,
Energized, Drinking Water helps to naturally flush toxins and acidic
waste from the body and is a powerful antioxidant. Ionized Water makes
more oxygen available to our cells than distilled, reverse osmosis, filtered
only, bottled or tap water and is the best possible drinking water. "Disease
and early death is more likely to be seen with the long term drinking of
purified water. Avoid it except in special circumstances." Zoltan P.
