Great job.....Thanks. Your info is very helpful. L-Arginine,(an essential amino-acid) 500mg in the morning; neutralizes ammonia (NH3) in the liver, the body and in urine. Therefore it does away with the ammonia smell and taste normally part of urine. L-arginine is also a mild anti-ageing stimulant of a person's HGH. perhaps this will help some start their own unine therapy.

This site is one of the most informative place for the Alternative health seekers and I am grateful for this labor of love. I want to mention Electric Fences and electronic collars that are used to keep dogs from barking and how inhumane they are to use. t is by various intensities of shocking the animal which at the low level the discomfort to the animal is claimed to be minimal but some of these things have ten levels and if you tried it on yourself you would definetly feel major discomfort. I know peo le need to train their animals to keep quiet is necessary at times but to make them wear this at all times would be like putting them in a jail. I want animal loving people to insist on finding out if it is Humane before purchasing them as now everybody i selling them, because I saw this demonstrated on Foz News and was horrified to watch the poor dog react to the shock treatment he got and see how broken spirited he was when he had it on all the time as compared to not wearing it. The fences are the same in that a shock is delivered if the animal crosses through also said to be mild in its affect by veteranarians.Well you walk through it first before you put an innocent animal through it Please? We need public input on this. How much does anybody really k ow about these products?

My almost 4 year old Golden Retriever, Hannah, licked and chewed her front legs raw for almost 2 years. We saw vets, a doggie dermitologist, a doggie chiropractor, did lab testing and gave her allergy shots, chose food that avoided the things she was allergic to, etc, etc, etc. No relief! Hannah had to wear "the bonnet" 24 hours a day. She was miserable and we were bruised. Went to health food stores, got all sorts of products for allergies. No relief.

Finally, in March (1999), a friend introduced me to a company that manufactures many all natural products as well as homeopathic (combination) remedies. Two of the products--one for allergies and one for stress, compulsive behaviors, etc.--produced an immediate and positive response! Hannah is now happy and healthy!

You might find this interesting. My father is a retired minister and he started growing wheatgrass juice in Canada over 14 years ago. It started out just for ourselves and grew to serving many health food stores and restaurants. We also sold the juicers. There is a couple things that always bothered us about the juice and that is the reactions many people (including us) had after drinking the juice such as nausea and headaches withing seconds after drinking. We were always told that this was detoxification. Then we had a lady break out in hives all over her body within minutes after drinking. We were also told that this was just a strong detoxing symptoms. We just couldn't buy the story anymore. Nausea and headaches and especially hives is a reaction to something not detoxification. There is no other herb or juice concoction that makes you detox within second with these strong reactions. What we did trace it to is the mold that grows on the trays. Mold is highly toxic and can cause instant reactions of headaches and nausea and even hives. The mold comes from the seeds that don't germinate, and that is why some trays are better than others. We tried using hydrogen peroxide and colidial silver and even picking out the ungerminated seeds with tweezers. What was interesting we also noticed that those with candida got much worse after drinking wgj. (sugar and mold will set it off) So after being indoor growers of wheatgrass juice for over seven years, we decided that we couldn't serve any more knowing that all the so called detoxing symptoms were reactions to the mold. We shut the whole thing down. The following spring my dad was visiting a farmer friend and his winter wheat was coming up. For the fun of it he cut down a bunch and juiced it. He couldn't believe the difference in the taste!!! Smooth and mild tasting and no sugary/bitter taste. He kept drinking it until he had drank a whole glass. And guess what? NO REACTIONS. We have done a bunch of testing and found that : 1 - in the process of growing winter wheat, the frost kills the mold on the ungerminated seeds, thus no mold. 2 - Also the chlorophyll is much higher because it is in the sun. 3 - The simple sugars in the indoor sprouts cannot mature enough to change into complex carbohydrates, and that is why it is sweet like syrup. Outdoor grass matures just before the jointing stage and creates a smooth grass taste. 4 - It is in the grouind for over 200 days compared with 7 - 10 days indoors. At great expense we now have an organic farm in Ontario, where we plant winter wheat and harvest it in the spring. We have about three week per year to do this. We chill it in 1 1/2 minutes to just above freezing and then it is packaged and frozen. Lab reports show little changed in the nutritients even after up to three years in the freezer. Freezing doesn't harm, it is heat that does. Even Enzymes Systems Products (925) 449-2662 they keep their enyzmes at - 20 to preserve them. We have never had a reaction to this wheatgrass juice. Our work now is trying to convince those who have sworn off wheatgrass juice because of past reaction to try it again. A good example of this is Ernest who owns Rainbow Bridge store in Ojai, CA. (805) 646-4017. His reaction to indoor grown wheatgrass was with his throat swelling up to the point where it was hard to breath. At the Expo West show in Anaheim I met him and explained why he reacted to it. I convinced him to try our wheatgrass and with a shaking hand he did. It couldn't believe this was wheatgrass juice. It tasted so different. He was waiting for a reactions, that never happened. He is now so sold on our wheatgrass juice, and confidently sells it to his clients. My dad met Ann once after he shut down the indoor growing and asked her why couldn't we grown it outside. Her answer was "I never thought of it before". I am sure you are familiar with Steve Meyerwitz. He totally believes in what we are doing and in his revision put a page in there about us. Pine Wheatgrass also is supportive. They understand the importance of winter wheat and for themselves personally freeze it, but can't be bothered with the hassle that goes along with frozen product. The body will usually try to tell us when it doesn't like something, but often thinking we are doing ourselves good keep taking it. My dog Shilo, a 3 1/2 years old Golden Retriever, was diagnosed with Leukemia of the bone marrow. He was diagnosed on March 19th and the next day I started him on 3 tablespoons of flaxoil and cottage cheese and within hours his energy improved. Four days later, on March 24th, I took him back to the vet and they did a blood test and were baffled because his white cell count was normal, his red blood cells were normal, and his platelets were clotting normal, no fever, and he was acting like a normal dog and they didn't understand. On April 13th he had another test and no cancer cells. HE HAS BEEN CANCER FREE SINCE MARCH 24th 1999. Just think I spent over $2000.0 on vets to find out what he really needed was a bottle of flax seed oil that costs about $12.00. Before this he was a very sick dog and according to the vets he was suppose to be dead by now. Thanks you for your web site, it saved Shilo's life, because that's how I found out about the flaxoil. If I may, what needs a little more work is the choices you provide for your survey. You put Excellent as the highest standard, when you must know that you do not meet that criteria...You Exceed it!! Your site is Superb, Marvelous, Fabulous and more grammatical expressions then I can really say. I was obligated to search the net to try to find some help for my 10 month old Rottie who has come down with an apparent case of Distemper. This dog means the world to me and I have thus far tried everything and spent over $859 to no satisfaction in its results. I would spend every dime I had if it meant making my baby better, but I am hesitant to have the so-called-veterinary health professionals administer yet more drugs to no effect. I was shocked to be told that he has Distemper since he has had all vaccination required. I was in awe upon seeing all the negative effects of vaccines and I feel responsible for my baby's ailment since he is like a child dependent on his dad to provide the best medical attention he knows available, but I think I failed miserably. Thank you very much for illuminating my concept of vaccination and if you have any free time for some suggestions about what specifics I should try with my Eiko, I would remain eternally grateful.

I enjoyed your site so much. It is about time that people believed in themselves more than they believe in the "medical professionals." I have finally taken the destiny of my own health into my own hands and heart. Ten years ago I believed doctors when they told me that they could do nothing else for my endometriosis. I had a complete hysterectomy done at the age of 33. I have searched for 10 years to find a estrogen replacement that would make me feel like myself. It still hasn't happened. But, I am no longer on any type of estrogen replacement and I am trying other alternatives to keep myself naturally healthy. After my surgery, I started with pains all over my body. It took doctors 4 years and many tests to discover that now I have fibromyalgia. Again, I was on a roller coaster and asking the medical profession to heal me. To this date it has not happened. I am also seeking alternative advice for this condition. I am glad to say that I am not taking any prescription medicines at this time. Somedays are not very good but I really don't think they are any worse than when I took the drugs my physician prescribed for me. I feel confident that I will find the answer-and I will heal myself!! Hi all there! Rawfood surely suits not for everybody. I personally know lots of cases of people who got huge problems in deficiency, esp. cobalamine (B12), or in energy (i.e. tremendous weight loss). I find it therefor very difficult to say thats its the only truth to eat raw food. It might be an excellent therapy for some time but not for ever. We had a study about rawfood-eaters here at our university and I though we were very eager to find out the advantages of rawfoodism, we conquered a lot of misery during the study (1 person even died). So, please be very careful in what you all recommend people....yours...Mathias

I am a mountain farmer in Hemsedal, Norway. We have 18 diary-cows, and we have not been using antibiotics in our treatment of mastitis (utter infection) in the past 5 years. Instead we have been using homeopatic treatment with a far better result than "commercial/conventional treatment". Homeopathy is very effective and works very fast --- I have obtained increadible results within 1 or 2 hours of having given the correct homeopathic remedy. I know of no conventional veterinarian that can produce the same result with orthodox medicine... I was surprise to find well organized information about alternative treatment for animals in your web site. Thanks.

So far I have only worked myself through the pages about animals and their health. Doing so I started to look at this site as a strong big tree, with roots anchored deep down into the earth and wonderful enlightened green leaves and branches reaching into the sky. I felt the trunk as a good place to lean my tired body and mind and looked up into the wonderful green and its fruits. When I downloaded your page 'about the author' a couple of minutes ago, I was not at all surprised to read (in a flash) that you are growing trees on top of the roof of your house - your pages are like strong healthy trees too.I have been facing and fighting a monstrum with many heads and I don't seem to be able to find its weakness: the place where I can destroy it. I have lost a lot of dogs(7 grown ups and I stopped counting puppies) to a disease, unknown to my vet. His medicines kill them, fast - no coming back possible. I bought books on the subject of healing with essential oils, Bach Flowers, homeopathy and Merks' Veterinary Dictionary to find out what is happening. It started about 5 years ago and by now I have learned myself how to lengthen dog lives, comfort their pain and make passing away easy but I miss something somehow because I don't manage to cure them and I strongly believe that I can put 'the monstrum' to sleep or kill it if only I would know where to hit it. Ehrlichiosis and vaccination and seasonal changes in the weather actually are my keywords but I have no hope to find anything on Internet with this combination, therefor I try the words I've written in the above section where you ask for words I use in the search machines. I think that I linked to you from Leerburg Kennels. A friend of mine advised me to start with him when I was in my home country last year (Nederland)and told him that I would go on the web. I started on 12/22/98 and found you on 01/09/99 and ever since I come back on an almost daily base to download articles to use fur my own purposes, knowing that one day soon I will find somebody that can give me the one key to 'banish the beast' forever. Nice site on Herbal Medicine. I knew a friend who was addicted to sleeping pills (over 1 year) he took herbal medicine (SCULCAP) and got off of it. For those who are christians, I had a addiction of some sort and the long 15minute rosary prayer I recited and continue to recite everday somehow after reciting it for a couple weeks I got partial then after 3 weeks got full control of not doing it anymore. I have a website devoted to it anyone wants to check it out print it out give it a try, it does work mi acles. Keep up the good work, I know there is more than one way of treatment of addiction never give up, try something else til it works.

I check into this site regularly for new information and just wish others would do so too! I use organic food for my dogs, and have a client list of others that I supply food to also. Most of the dogs that come to me are unhealthy when we get them, and with good nutrition and owner education they are turning their lives around to be happier and healthier. Unfortunately the majority of the world still thinks drugs are the way to go for treating animal illness but its not!!

Wow! love your site! This was my lucky day! I entered two search terms, hyperthyroidism and veterenary, and Bingo! got your site, and only your site--didn't have to wade through thousands of nonsense sites. My 12-year-old cat may have hyperthyroidism--she's suddenly svelte and frisky, which is great, but I have read that these can be symptoms of that insidious disease. I was hoping to find some information about treating this homeopathically, and will continue to search. In the meantime, you have inspired me to work harder at providing my three felines with a better raw diet, and I will come back to your site often. Two nuggets of information: A lovely book about cats is Barbara Holland, Secrets of the Cat: Its lore, Legend, and Lives. That's where I read about the dangers of hyperthyroidism, nestled in with philosophy and psychological observations about cats. Again, many many thanks for your site.

We have switched to raw food just recently. We were having a lot of trouble with our 15 year old chihuaha cross - a horribly unhealthy coat, and a lot of coughing and gagging. We believed that both were due to worms, but the vet had told us not to worm a dog over 10.Also, the last time we wormed our golden retriever with a normal wormer, she had a bad reaction to it, so we were leary to use it on the 15 yr old. We were planning on putting our chihuaha cross to sleep, but I thought there must be a way to help her. I had never considered raw food till I saw your site. We switched her over to completely raw, started her on a herbal parasite cleanse (and worms started appearing all through her stools). We also added ground flax seed to all the animals food. She is shedding out all of her old fur and the new fur is coming in shiny and healthy. She also has incredible energy. She goes for daily - short - and before she would never leave her bed unless she had to go outside. One day she went racing down the driveway to meet us coming back from a long walk, and a neighbor asked,"What did you do to her, she looks and acts like a different dog? I thought you were going to have her put to sleep." Also, our golden - 10 yrs - was having a lot of problems with arthritus in one of her front legs, but it is almost completely gone.I have only been feeding them raw for a month, but after seeing such incredible results, I'm 100% for it!! I have also had some wonderful results from myself and my Mom taking the flax oil, and I love it!!

Just found you. Haven't had a chance to see it all...but so far..it is wonderful!! I want to pass the Web Site on to several other folks. I was offered a chance to check out a search engine named "Northern Light". When it came time to enter a catagory to see what they had...I typed in "urine therapy". Most engines have little or nothing on this miraculous subject. I was stunned when the Engine came up with SEVERAL web sites...yours was one of them. I have read the Christy book and Bartnett and Van der Kroon and Armstrong. I was certainly happy to see them on the site..but then I spotted "Shirleys Wellness Cafe"..that was new to me. I went looking around on your site and was knocked out! Vaccines, AIDS hoax, homeopathy..and animals. I have 8 dogs..one of whom I gave 6 extra pain-free weeks to last week...but then had to let her cross the "Bridge". I used Urine Therapy, or UT as we call it. It was when my husband and I started using UT and it has had great results. But...I found you thru about 5 steps...and I want my sister and nephew and several friends to visit your site and do some serious reading. The site has great material...and I intend to read each one and learn more. I have not yet read YOUR story,,but even before I do...I know you are a caring and compassionate being..or you would not be passing all this incredibly important information on..to a totally unaware world. I happened to surf onto this site tonight and have spent 3 hours looking it over. It's a valuable guide to health and well being. Just recently I stopped taking Zocor for high cholestorol and tyrglycerides. It was tearing me gut apart. Then I read about the side affect. No thanks! I've lost my faith in doctors anymore, they're all pill pushers! I have a friend who is an herbalist and accupuncterist and I do believe I'm going back to her. Dear Shirley: I just read your bio, and I cried as I did. It is so moving. You are a marvelous person. I think we all come into the world for a life in which we do things for ourselves and others that we've set ourselves up to do. Your life reminded me of a friend of mine named Sam Lentine. Sam died about three years ago at the age of 48. His cancerous eyes were removed when he was 2. He went on to become a debater, a wrestler, a band leader, a scientist, a husband and father, and a great joker. And holder of a doctorate in physics. And a spiritual diagnostician and healer. I once wrote a children's book called "Kids Do Amazing Things," and did a chapter on Sam as a child. The book would probably be in a library not too far from you. I wrote articles about Sam. People like Sam - and like you - inspire me. Right now I'm writing a newspaper article about a young couple who are spiritual healers. And they work a great deal with energy and with homeopathics. (I have a lot about homeopathics in my animals book.) You might like to see some of my other books. I've written six books on ghosts and hauntings, and other aspects of parapsychology. I like to think I was dispatached on this incarnation to write things that might wise up a bit of humanity. I probably wasn't, but I like to think so.
