I have just been told about your wonderful site and had to take a peak!!! Wonderful is hardly a good enough verb to describe your work here. I read about the vaccinations and your suggestion to see a qualified Homeopath after having the child innoculated.

As an isopath, I use a Computerised Electrodermal Screening Unit, which used to be known as a EAV machine, but since computerisation has been renamed CEDS. I have the Listen System, andI would urge people to contact a practitioner with this technology as Classical Homoepaths are not sufficiently equipped to be able to treat this in the manner my contemporaries can. We are having great success with removing the toxins of these nasties and may I say, the people who have let this stuff in to the health realm should be injected with it all and then left to rot on a deserted island somewhere well away from other people.

Thanks for a great website, it is so helpful to pet owners-- there is a wealth of information here. In 1998, my Sheltie was found to have a malignant tumor in his mouth. I knew I could not subject him to surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy-- none of which offered any 'cure' anyway! After hours and hours of research, I started him on a holistic regimen that I thought would make his death easier-- the vet said he had maybe a month or two before the tumor did its worst. Well, it is now 19 months after that prediction and Sander has amazed several veterinarians and a vet oncologist-- not only is he still alive, he is in fantastic health! Yes, the tumor is still in his mouth, but his life is normal in every other regard. Nutritional supplements, herbs, vitamins, and a raw diet have had astounding results. Since then I have referred other cancer-dog owners to this site, for information on various 'alternative' cancer treatments. Thanks for being such a great resource!

I love this site! I have an Abissian named Rheo that is one year old. Rheo has been sick since the first day I got him. Unfortunatly,we got him from a vet and have spent over $800.00 on him already with NO answers!He has an aweful congestive problem and i constantly weazing.I've tried so many medications and some just subside his problem but nothing has rid the problem. I've had feline FIV,feline clamidia tests done but they are all negitive. I'm tired of putting different medications into my poor cat wit no results. I found the website absolutely fascinating and so full of very useful information - I will certainly be visiting again soon! I would like to thank Shirley for the very prompt reply to my request for information regarding the skin condition of our Golden Retriever dog Lucy, which I found extremely interesting. I have found in the past that natural herbs have a terrific effect on certain conditions. Lucy was diagnosed approximately two years ago with Horners Syndrome - a disease of the eyes that apparently is very prevalent in Goldies.

Three differing Vets tol us that nothing could be done for Lucy and she would just have to "live with it". I decided to try one of my favourite remedies - Sage. I gathered some fresh from the garden, put it in a glass jug and poured boiling water over it and left it for 24 hou s. Next day I started to 'drip' the water into Lucy's eye and within two days noticed an improvement and at the end of the week it had more or less gone - it has completely gone now and we have not noticed any recurrence after two years. It is best to ' rip' the water two or three times a day onto the affeced part. Another brilliant remedy for all different ailments is made by taking a bit of bark from a Horse Chestnut tree along with a few leaves and some of the actual Chestnuts themself. Put all in a glass jug and cover with boiling water, leave for 24 hours and se the resulting liquid for all sorts of ailments. I always just 'drip' the liquid onto the affected parts - never giving it internally and my philosophy is that 'it can't do any harm' and it doesn't! It is very good for alleviating swelling and bruisin and seems to have an anti-inflammatory effect. I do hope that this information will be of help to someone - if your pet is diagnosed and all seems lost, please remember that Herbs can be of enormous benefit.

I am thrilled and filled with hope after combing your site for an hour. My beloved nine-year old Rottweiller was just diagnosed with osteo-sarcoma (bone cancer). Tomorrow I will find out if it has metastasized to his lungs. (the tumor I know of is in his right front paw). I find your site and quite fascinating and interesting in its different take on health and wellness. I have learned many new and interesting ideas and have started to implement a few of them into my lifestyle. Keep up the good work Shirley. However, I have a few questions. It's about the issue of vaccines. I am at odds with this issue. I am saddened by the fact that many of the incidents associated with vaccines have not been reported publicly. I however cannot ignore the fact that vaccines ave saved the lives of many people on the planet. Many of those diseases were lethal killers of populations around the world. Here in Jamaica, many of these killers are literally eradicated. All children have to be vaccinated before entering school. I hav yet to meet children with debilitating effects as a result of vaccines. Who's to say that the environments in many "first" world countries are not to blame in many of these childhood incidents? I am hopefully going to study in the US in the next few months. One of the requirements is that I get my immunizations up to date (one of the many hypocrisies on the planet, that diseases come from the "third" world), I am willing to take the shots but a ittle scared now considering the vaccine data. I have no "religious" reason for declining vaccines but neither do I see the overwhelming evidence as to their flaws. As with any treatment or cure both scientific and "herbal" some people respond well, some o not, some people become very ill sometimes. I would love to hear some of your opinions on this topic. p.s. Diabetes is quite common in Jamaica but I attribute this fact to a high consumption of processed starches and sugars and little consumption of fruits and vegetables (it is expensive to be a vegetarian in Jamaica).

I am happy see that your site is attracting more and more of us who feel that our furry friends are really people in animal's clothing! I want to talk about the use of heavy, thick collars that people may put on their dogs. Collars with studs etc. because I found out that such a collar can cause quite a sad effect on the disks in the neck as to render the animal unable to hold its head up and tends to cause further deblitation of the spine. I've seen these type of collars on Danes and Pit Bulls. I know tha it is for a tough/decorative look in most cases but while at my Vet I saw one case of this and was told of another case-it made me cry. this is too sad and preventable. I realized I had never heard of this and would never have thought of this if I hadn't seen it for myself. Please everybody think before you decorate your dog like that.
