Dr. Kollath, of the Karolinska
Hospital in Stockholm, headed a study done on animals. When young animals
were fed cooked and processed foods they initially appeared to be
healthy. However, as the animals reached adulthood, they began to age more
quickly than normal and also developed chronic degenerative disease symptoms.
A control group of animals raised on raw foods aged less quickly and were
free of degenerative disease.
Most commercial pet food
(kibbles and canned food for dogs or cats) are some of the world's most
synthetic edible products, containing virtually no whole ingredients. In
December 1995, the British Journal of Small Animal Practice published a
paper contending that processed pet food suppresses the immune system and

CAR SICKNESS:
I have received many emails
asking me what to do about a dog who gets car sick. Our German Shepherd
dog, Shasta, used to be car sick each time I took her for a ride. I rapidely
solved the problem by giving her a drop of the Rescue
Remedy (www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/a/+bacflowremfo.html)
and by doing the following:

1. I'd take her in the PARKED
car for just 5 minutes and I kept the ENGINE TURNED OFF. I'd talk to her
and pet her to relax her. Then I took her out of the car for a small walk
or play and repeat the process in the car. I would do this 3 or 4 times
a day for the next 2 or 3 days.

2. I repeat the process, but
this time I turn the engine on, but keep the car parked. I DO NOT DRIVE
THE CAR. I do this for a couple of days.

3. I repeat the process, but
this time I drive the car ONE BLOCK.

4. I repeat the process but
this time I drive the car for 5 minutes and make sure that I stop somewhere
where she would enjoy a familiar sniffing ground.

fear of the car. She felt secure and learned to associate the car with
pleasure and she stopped being sick.
