Diet for the Prevention of Women's Diseases
As the incidence of women's diseases has increased, so have the number of
books on the subject. Peruse the shelves of any bookstore and you will find
dozens of works on women's health. Some merely present allopathic treatments
for women's diseases. Others describe alternative therapies—like exercise, yoga,
acupuncture, aromatherapy, art therapy, biofeedback, positive thinking, meditation, light therapy, massage, herbs, homeopathy,
hydrotherapy, vitamins and Chinese medicine. All of these therapies have their
place and may be helpful, but only when practiced in conjunction with a diet
that supports the female reproductive system. Unfortunately, the dietary advice
dished out in the various books on women's diseases is appalling—simplistic,
fatuous and dangerous—consisting mostly of prescripts to consume lots of soy
foods, whole grains, legumes, fruits and vegetables with warnings against animal
foods, particularly dairy fats and red meats.
Wouldn't it be nice to understand how we really become ill? Or why some ailments
seem to crop up time and again? Do you ever experience a cold that comes out
of no where and lasts for weeks, and nobody else catches it from you, and it
happened about the time you lost your best friend or were really sad? And how
can we take the dread out of "that" time of the month for women? Do we have
to suffer from migraine headaches, PMS, cramps, depression, or the embarrassment
of unexpected panic and anxiety attacks? Could hot flashes really be stopped
dead in their tracks? How do we become addicted? What about our internal Time
Clock, what could you accomplish if you knew the best time to eat a good breakfast,
or lunch, or go for a jog to boost your energy level? What if men could help
themselves with prostate or impotency related problems? Why can a neck massage
be so helpful to a man with impotency problems? What if the answers to those
and many other health problems lay just below your fingertips ..... and through
the use of your own two hands and simple massage, you could live a life that
was healthier, with less emotional up and downs and drama?
Dr. Mercola on mammography: "Screening mammography
poses significant and cumulative risks of breast cancer for premenopausal women.
The routine practice of taking four films of each breast annually results in
approximately 1 rad (radiation absorbed dose) exposure, about 1,000 times greater
than that from a chest x-ray. The premenopausal breast is highly sensitive to
radiation, each 1 rad exposure increasing breast cancer risk by about 1 percent,
with a cumulative 10 percent increased risk for each breast over a decade's
screening. These risks are even greater for younger women subject to baseline screening."
The annual medical check-up - enshrined for decades as a cornerstone
of preventative care - is a waste of time and money, doctors now admit. Around
44 million adults in America had a routine medical check-up between 2002 and
2004, and a range of unnecessary tests - costing $350m a year - were ordered.
These included tests on blood count, serum electrolytes, and urine, plus a check
on heart health. But, says Dr. Ateev Mehrotra from the University of Pittsburgh
Medical Centre, these tests shouldn't be carried out routinely. Instead, they
should be ordered only if the doctor has a good reason to do so. General preventative
advice is often given either during other surgery visits or from other sources.
The only regular check-ups worth preserving are mammogram
and cervical smear tests, he says. (Source: Archives of Internal Medicine, 2007;
Cystitis - The Natural Solution
Cystitis is an infection of the bladder, urethritis is an infection of the
urethra, and pyelonephritis is a kidney infection. Escherichia Coli causes the
majority of urinary tract infections, bacteria found in the intestines. Because
of the close proximity of the anus to the vagina, women seem to be
more susceptible to the spread of this bacterium. Bladder infections are relatively
common in women, and for men may be a sign of a more serious condition. Symptoms
of cystitis include frequency, dysuria, cloudy or bloody urine, with pain and
tenderness in the lower abdomen. Many plants have a local reputation as being
effective in the treatment of cystitis. Often their efficacy will vary from
fresh to dried samples, time of year they were picked, etc.etc.. In Wales, freshly
picked Yarrow, preferable from sea cliffs, had a dramatic effect.
A client with interstitial cystitis, (IC is a rare chronic pelvic pain disorder
resulting in recurring discomfort or pain in the bladder and the surrounding
pelvic region-there's no known medical cause or cure.), recently e-mailed me:
"I have been noticing more and more improvement since taking the

and hike and all sorts of active things. I even went on some hikes recently
and have another scheduled for this week. I also noticed that I have limited
soreness after. I have been sleeping much better too. I had to skip taking this
for 5 days (I was on a trip) and today I start back up. My body is really wanting
it. Thanks so much for turning me on to this product... I believe it is really
supporting my body better than any other thing that I have tried. It feels like
my body can absorb it!" Lynne
Use of transfer factor for the treatment of recurrent non-bacterial female cystitis (NBRC)
A preliminary report - Results of conventional treatment of female non-bacterial
recurrent cystitis (NBRC) are discouraging. Twenty nine women suffering of NBRC,
and in whom previous treatment with antibiotics and non-steroid anti-inflammatory
drugs was unsuccessful, underwent oral transfer
factor (TF) therapy. TF specific to Candida and/or to HSV was administered
bi-weekly for the first 2 weeks, and then once a week for the following 6 months.
No side effects were observed during treatment. The total observation period
of our cohort was 24379 days with 353 episodes of cystitis recorded and a cumulative
relapse index (RI) of 43. The observation period during and after treatment
was 13920 days with 108 relapses and a cumulative RI of 23 (P 0.0001). It, thus,
seems that specific TF may be capable of controlling NBRC and alleviate the

Women and Thyroid Disorder
University of Colorado Health Sciences Center estimates that there are over
13 million more Americans who have undiagnosed thyroid problems that are causing
many of their uncomfortable symptoms (fatigue, depression, excess weight, infertility,
miscarriage, severe menopause, dry skin, constipation, hair loss). Dr. Richard
Shames, a Harvard and University of Pennsylvania graduate who served at the
NIH, Dr. R. Shames believes that we are witnessing an
autoimmune low-thyroid epidemic. Karilee Shames, RN, PhD, Assistant
Professor of Nursing, points out that a major environmental trigger of low thyroid
is likely to be the fluoride
added to municipal water supplies. Scientists believe that fluoride can depress
thyroid functions with levels as low as 2. 5 mg/ day
more on fluoride poisoning
Dr. Julian Whitaker M.D. - "By far the most common
thyroid disorder is an under-active
thyroid, or hypothyroidism, which causes the symptoms above as well as others.
Hypothyroidism has numerous effects on a woman's health -- it has been linked
to osteoporosis, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, arthritis, and even lung
cancer. And if a woman with low thyroid function becomes pregnant, the health
of her child is affected as well."
Barry Grove's book, Fluoride: Drinking
Ourselves to Death, exposes the "science" that has successfully promoted
water fluoridation for what it is: bluff, propaganda, and lies. Fluoride
is a poison--more poisonous than lead, slightly less poisonous than arsenic.
It is cumulative and collects in bones and tissues, not just the teeth. Numerous
studies done on animals point out the obvious dangers. Other studies have shown
increased rates of cancer, osteoporosis, and other diseases. Dr. Albert
Schatz, who discovered the antibiotic streptomycin, said in 1982 that
is the greatest fraud that has ever been perpetrated." Yet other studies
of tens of thousands of children show that it isn't even effective at preventing
cavities and is an extremely poor delivery system even if it were effective.
Like it or not, your government sometimes lies to you. Groves points out the
fact that fluoridation is nothing more or less than a huge government-sponsored
lie, conveniently spun so that the super-phosphate industry can rid itself of
harmful toxic waste that is illegal and dangerous to release into the air but
suddenly becomes a magical "elixir of good teeth" when added to our drinking water.
It is only in the last two decades during which endocrinology has progressed
so rapidly, that now over 150 symptoms and associations can be identified in
hypothyroidism. Almost all (!) correlate with known symptoms of
fluoride poisoning. Most of
the double-blind test results of fluoride poisoning found in Moolenburgh's study
on water containing 1ppm of fluoride - which led to the ban of fluoridation
in Holland - are now recognized symptoms of hypothyroidism: fatigue, depression,
excess weight, infertility, miscarriage, severe menopause, dry skin, constipation,
hair loss. The Effects Of Fluoride
On The Thyroid Gland
Fluoride, Thyroid Disease and Iodine Deficiency
Because of the impact of water fluoridation, increased exposure to heavy metal contamination, herbicides,
pesticides and radioactive pollution, as well as low levels of selenium in soil
where crops are grown, the
need for iodine in the daily diet is crucial. Two billion individuals worldwide
have insufficient iodine intake, with those in south Asia and sub-Saharan
Africa particularly affected. Iodine deficiency has many adverse effects
on growth and development. These effects are due to inadequate production
of thyroid hormone and are termed iodine-deficiency disorders. Iodine deficiency
is the most common cause of preventable mental impairment worldwide. There is
clear evidence that small amounts of fluoride, at or near levels added to U.S.
water supplies, present potential risks to the thyroid gland, according
to the National Research Council’s (NRC) first-ever published review of the
fluoride/thyroid literature. Fluoride, in the form of silicofluorides, injected
into 2/3 of U.S. public water supplies, ostensibly to reduce tooth decay, was

Soy Products and Thyroid Disease
Scientists have known for years that the isoflavones in soy products can depress
thyroid function and cause goiters in otherwise healthy children and adults.
Researchers at Cornell University Medical College said that children who got
soy formula were more likely to develop thyroid disease and that twice as many
diabetic children had received soy formula in infancy as compared to non-diabetic
children. In fact, in other countries such as Switzerland, England, Australia
and New Zealand, public health officials recommend highly restricted medically
monitored use of soy for babies and for pregnant women. Soy formula is a lifesaver
for the 3 to 4 percent of babies allergic to cows milk, but it is so widely
advertised that it is sold to 25% of the entire formula market. "By far the
worst calls are from women whose children have been fed soy formula. They tell
me heartbreaking stories about baby girls who show signs of early maturation,
such as underarm odor, breast development, body hair and even menstruation
as early as two, three and four years of age! In baby boys, 12 months of soy
feeding can lead to gross effects by the age of 11 or 12. Breasts can appear
and testicles do not develop."Elaine Hollingsworth, author of Take Control of

The Hysterectomy Hoax: The Truth About Why Many Hysterectomies
Are Unnecessary and How to Avoid Them
While more than 600,000 hysterectomies are performed each
year in the United States, 90 percent of them are unwarranted. This vital health guide
offers women the information they need to empower themselves in making critical
health decisions. For example, surgery can often do more harm than good and
may pose needless risks, except in situations involving a life-threatening illness
such as cancer. Surgeons, however, often rely on hysterectomies as a panacea
for everything from premenstrual syndrome to uterine fibroids. An important
way to bridge the communication gap between patient and physician is to ask
the specific questions in this book. Included is information about various gynecological
conditions—such as endometriosis, uterine prolapse, ovarian cysts, and precancerous
conditions—and suggestions for alternative treatments.

Ovarian Cyst Miracle
When symptoms of bloating, pressure, cramps or pains occur in the pelvic
area, with or without irregular periods or bleeding, periods with blood dots,
or clots, or low fever, tiredness, for women, it may due to the growth of cysts
or fibroids. About 40% of women between 20 to 50 years of age have experienced
cysts/fibroids symptoms in their life time. The sure diagnosis is to check with
a doctor, and the only 100% sure cure for cysts/fibroids problem is a hysterectomy
surgery. Medications are also used to relieve symptoms or to shrink these benign
tumors, some with side effects not acceptable to many women. However, when no
symptoms are present, one could live with cysts/fibroids for life without any
problem, because most likely, these tumors are benign and cause no real danger.

Autoimmune disease in Women
The term "autoimmune disease" refers to a varied group of more than 80 serious,
chronic illnesses that involve almost every human organ system. It includes
diseases of the nervous, gastrointestinal, and endocrine systems as well as
skin and other connective tissues, eyes blood, and blood vessel. In all of these
diseases, the underlying problem is similar--the body's immune system becomes
misdirected, attacking the very organs it was designed to protect.
Autoimmune diseases -- including chronic fatigue syndrome, vasculitis, juvenile diabetes,
alopecia, Graves' disease, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis,
and multiple sclerosis -- are among the hottest topics in the medical community.
Although these diseases express themselves in different ways, in all of them,
the body's immune system begins to attack normally functioning, healthy cells.
Despite the recent surge in interest and research, these fascinating diseases
are highly mysterious, frequently misdiagnosed, and controversial in cause and
treatment. They are often interconnected in ways that are both misunderstood
and life-threatening. And one of the biggest puzzles is why 80 percent of autoimmune
disease sufferers are women.
For reasons we do not understand, about 75 percent of autoimmune diseases
occur in women, most frequently during the childbearing years. Hormones are
thought to play a role, because some autoimmune illnesses occur more frequently
after menopause, others suddenly improve during pregnancy, with flare-ups occurring
after delivery, while still others will get worse during pregnancy.
Autoimmune diseases remain among the most poorly understood and poorly recognized
of any category of illnesses. Individual diseases range from the benign to the
severe. Symptoms vary widely, notably from one illness to another, but even
within the same disease. And because the diseases affect multiple body systems,
their symptoms are often misleading, which hinders accurate diagnosis. To help
women live longer, healthier lives, a better understanding of these diseases
is needed, as well as providing early diagnosis and treatment.

factors can function as immune system modulators, they can help to restore
immune system balance in many types of clinical situations." Kenneth Bock, MD,best

to stay well. The unfolding events surrounding Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome,

continents are only a plane ride away. The SARS epidemic is only one of an ongoing
series of new emerging diseases. Our best global and personal strategy is to
do all in our power to ensure and support our unique abilities of disease resistance
and immunity. Dr. Bennett is an Infectious Disease Microbiologist and Immunologist,

A multitude of common physical and mental ailments are strongly linked to the
consuming of 'pure' refined sugar. In addition to throwing off the body's homeostasis,
excess sugar may result in a number of other significant consequences. Sugars
increase our body's production of adrenaline by four times, which puts the body
into a state of 'fight or flight' stress, without anything to fight or flee
from , except the consumption of sugar. This stress reaction increases the production
of both cholesterol and cortisone. Cortisone inhibits immune function. more

Healthy, Beautiful Skin Naturally
Basic beauty begins with the glow of good health, which shines from within.
The skin often mirrors the health of the whole body. A radiant clear complexion
begins with proper nutrition, efficient digestion and assimilation of nutrients
by the body and regular elimination. Skin problems are a reflection of internal
health and are often a reflection of overall body and blood toxicity and/or
stomach problems. Almost anything that cleanses the blood or intestines
will also show a result on the skin. Skin problems can also be as a result
of allergies, hormone imbalances, nutrition or dehydration.
Protecting Your Bones Naturally
Study shows that women who got the most calcium from dairy products actually broke
more bones than women who rarely drank milk. The bone-thinning condition
called osteoporosis can lead to small and not-so-small fractures. Although
many people think of calcium in the diet as good protection for their bones,
this is not at all the whole story. In fact, in a 12-year Harvard study
of 78,000 women, those who got the most calcium from dairy products actually
broke more bones than women who rarely drank milk. Similarly, a 1994 study
of elderly men and women in Sydney, Australia, showed that higher dairy
product consumption was associated with increased fracture risk. Those with
the highest dairy product consumption had approximately double the risk
of hip fracture compared to those with the lowest consumption. To protect
your bones you do need calcium in your diet, but you also need to keep calcium
in your bones.
Prescription for Disaster
Guylaine Lanctot, M.D. - "The medical establishment works closely with
the drug multinationals whose main objective is profits, and whose worst
nightmare would be an epidemic of good health. Lots of drugs MUST be sold.
In order to achieve this, anything goes: lies, fraud, and kickbacks. Doctors
are the principal salespeople of the drug companies. They are rewarded with
research grants, gifts, and lavish perks. The principal buyers are the public
- from infants to the elderly - who MUST be thoroughly
and vaccinated...at any cost! Why do the authorities forbid alternative
medicine? Because they are serving the industry, and the industry cannot
make money with herbs, vitamins, and
homeopathy. They cannot patent
natural remedies. That is why they push synthetics. They control medicine,
and that is why they are able to tell medical schools what they can and
cannot teach. They have their own sets of laws, and they force people into
them. That is a mafia. This sensational expose' also uncovers the truth

the Rockefeller Foundation, the World Bank, and more."
Dr. Schulze - "Over the last 80 years, organized medical groups and pharmaceutical
companies, using lawyers, bribes, lobbyist, insurance companies and the
strong arm of the Food and Drug Administration, have been very busy. They
have corrupted elected officials to pass laws to remove any competition.
They have crushed Natural Doctors, Natural Medicine, and Self-Care. Their
goal is to monopolize health care and make us dependent on medical doctors
and pharmaceutical drugs. It almost worked! We have watched them pass more
and more laws restricting our rights; they have made many healing herbs,
foods and even nutrients illegal. Natural health professionals that flourished
a few decades ago are now barred by law to practice, and Natural Doctors,
Holistic Healers, Health Food Store Owners and even family members of the
sick have been arrested and jailed for using natural remedies. Big drug
companies have been accused of putting profits above patients, spinning
false PR campaigns and more.

Cellulite: Natural Solutions
Cellulite is the lumpy substance resembling cottage cheese that is commonly
found on the thighs, stomach, and butt. Cellulite is actually a fancy name
for collections of fat that push against the connective tissue beneath a
person's skin, which causes the surface of the skin to dimple or pucker and
look lumpy. You can check to see if you have cellulite by pinching the skin
around your upper thigh. If it looks a bit lumpy, you probably have it.
And if you do have cellulite, you're definitely not alone: Most girls and
women - and some men - have cellulite. Therapeutic
clay is being used as a cellulite solution because clay contains many
of the trace minerals that your body needs to metabolize nutrients into

stroke rate increased three times in recent years? From 1999 to 2004 nearly
2% of women aged 35 to 54 suffered from a stroke compared to the prior Federal

same condition.. No risk factors such as smoking, heart disease or diabetes

Homeopathy for Women's Health
Homeopathy can offer good
health to women in all stages of their lives from infancy through old age.
It is beneficial for the full range of emotional, mental and physical problems
that a woman is likely to experience, and can help her through the transitional
and developmental milestones of her life.
the teen years homeopathy can help with the hormonal changes of puberty
and the acne that often appears at this time, but primarily it can assist
with the emotional upheavals, which frequently occur as little girls make
the transition to womanhood.
Later in life when a woman gets pregnant, or has a hard time conceiving
(homeopathy can help with problems of infertility), it can assist with difficulties
frequently encountered, such as morning sickness and depression. By treating
the mother during pregnancy and making her as healthy as she can be, we
can insure that the baby will be born healthy and free of inherited diseases.
By treating throughout pregnancy, we also assist the mother to go through
childbirth safely and joyfully.
The homeopathic healing art is beneficial in helping women overcome the
effects of hormonal shocks to the system, which can occur after a difficult
birth, abortion, hysterectomy, and the use of birth control pills. Sepia,
a remedy made from the inky juice of the Cuttlefish is a commonly prescribed
remedy for women who have lost their spunk after a hormonal shock. Just
as the Cuttlefish spreads an inky cloud around itself, so the woman needing
Sepia envelops herself in a cloud of gloom. She feels emotionally flat,
and has an inability to express love or display affection to her husband
and children. She loses her sex drive and wants to be left alone, feeling
too tired to cope with housework, and from weakness resents any demands
on her time and energies.
This therapeutic science is extremely beneficial to women during menopause.
Remedies such as Lachesis muta are able to help women pass through this
transition with relative ease. As the remedies initiate a healing process
symptoms such as hot flashes, insomnia, lack of energy, weepiness, and anxiety
begin to gradually disappear in such a subtle fashion that the person is
unaware of how they passed.
Homeopathy can be used to treat many common physical and emotional symptoms
associated with menstrual cycles, hormone imbalances, and pre-menstrual
syndrome. Because of its emphasis on treating the whole patient on a physical,
mental, and emotional level, it is ideally suited for treating the wide
range of possible symptoms associated with the menstrual cycle. Because
homeopathic remedies work by stimulating the body's healing system to regain
a sense of balance, problems involving hormonal imbalances respond well
to homeopathic treatment.
Today includes inspiring articles and testimonials from veterinarians
and others who have improved their animal's health or saved their lives
with homeopathy. If you're interested in homeopathy, this is one magazine
to get. Homeopathic remedies may be bought over the counter in all countries,
and are being used to treat both human beings and animals. Each month it
features articles and information from todays leading homeopaths. I wait
for mine to arrive each month and then read it cover-to-cover! Published
six times a year, each issue features articles by some of the world's best
homeopaths on self-treatment for common ailments (e.g., hay fever, ear infections,
and the flu); on the homeopathic treatment process and the philosophical
underpinnings of homeopathy; and on specific remedies or diseases. Readers
are kept up to date on the latest topics in homeopathic education, legislation
that impacts homeopathic practice, conferences and workshops, reviews of
new books, and much more. And each issue also contains at least one or two
cure stories -- contributed by both practitioners and patients -- of their
successful experiences with homeopathic treatment. In sum, there is material
in each issue of Homeopathy
Today that will interest everyone -- from patients to experienced practitioners.
Highly recommended for laypeople, students, and professionals alike.

I can't remember a time in my life, prior to 1982, when I wasn't struggling
with failing health. I was overweight (185 lbs), suffered from chronic fatigue
and my health was steadily going down the drain. For years I had been a
"junkie"--addicted to prescription and over the counter drugs. I used corticosteroids
for eczema/psoriasis, antibiotics for recurring throat and breast infections.
I also used nasal decongestants for chronic sinus congestion, and other

At least one-third of Americans use alternative medicines to heal and maintain
health--75% of those consumers are women. Today, women are demanding their
doctors have a willingness to explore and combine complementary and conventional
medical practices in their approach to female health. The result is a bridge
between the two schools of thought commonly known as integrated medicine
which requires women to become proactive in their role as patient and provides
a safe, effective approach to maintaining and healing their bodies.
Women's Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine covers in depth the whole range
of women's health concerns including menstrual difficulties, menopause,
endometriosis, osteoporosis and others and explains how integrated medicine
can be used to treat these conditions.
Alternative Treatments for Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Guide to natural treatments for Fibromyalgia and other immune system disorders
Fibromyalgia is a painful disorder for which mainstream medicine has no
solution other than heavy, and often ineffective, use of painkillers. Perhaps
you have been told by a well-meaning but uniformed doctor that you will
"just have to learn to live with it." Well guess what... you do have options.
The good news is, your symptoms can be diminished or reduced by using natural,
nutritional, herbal and homeopathic products that address these symptoms.
Endometriosis is a disease affecting women in their reproductive years.
The tissue that lines the inside of the uterus and builds up and sheds each
month in the menstrual cycle is called Endometrium tissue. In endometriosis,
the endometrium tissue is found growing and shedding blood outside the uterus,
in other areas of the body. This misplaced tissue develops into growths
or lesions which respond to the menstrual cycle in the same way that the
tissue of the uterine lining does.
Stress is a significant component of many recurrent and chronic women's
health problems, including fibroids and endometriosis. In her article
Stress Reduction for
Relief of Fibroids and Endometriosis, Susan Lark, MD explains how in
women with fibroids and endometriosis, strss may negatively affect hormonal
balance and lead to growth in the size of fibroid tumors. Dr. Lark offers
a program of stress reducing techniques for women suffering from these conditions.
Some causes of obesity and or sudden weight gain may include: disturbance in
thyroid function; glandular malfunctions; diabetes; hypoglycemia; hyperinsulinemia;
emotional tension or stress; anxiety; depression; allergies. You may have been
on many diets and you may have even spent hundreds of dollars trying to lose
weight with pills, powders, herbs, high protein diets, low-fat and no-fat diets,
packaged foods, weight loss clinics, and the list goes on and on.
Twenty four years ago, when I was 30, I weighted 185 pounds, I suffered from
chronic fatigue and I was sick most of the time with one thing or another. I
was also a victim of the never-ending flow of propaganda from the medical establishment
(which I think of as the "disease" establishment because they focus on disease
rather than on prevention and wellness) who wants to maintain a monopoly on
the word "cure" and who wants us to believe that we have no control over our
own health and that our only hope to get "well" is with drugs, surgery and radiation.
When I turned to holistic health therapy, I lost 60 pounds in 3 months effortlessly.
(and never had to struggle again to keep my weight down) and my energy level
and stamina improved dramatically. I was able to function better overall. I
became calmer, centered and focused, and generally I felt happier and became

Dr. Young PhD, maintain that the primary culprit behind excessive weight
gain, as well as many other health problems, is a chronic state of acidity in
the body (a pH value below 7.1). Shifting the body’s chemistry to a more alkaline
pH, they maintain, will quickly and easily result in the loss of excess weight
and the buildup of more lean muscle tissue.
The Alkalizing Diet: Your
Life Is In The Balance
The acid-alkaline balance of the
body has an enormous impact on a person’s health. The pH level (acid - alkaline
measurement) of our internal fluids affects every cell in our bodies. Chronic
acidity will interrupt all cellular activities and functions - it interferes
with life itself. When the pH of the body gets out of balance (too acidic),
we may experience low energy, fatigue, excess weight, poor digestion, aches
and pains, and even more serious disorders. When the body is excessively acidic,
vital organs and individual cells are subject to damage or destruction. This
condition, known as acidosis, can be a cause, an effect, or even a symptom of
almost any health condition. By balancing the body's acidity levels, this simple
plan can help toward curing various medical conditions, including arthritis,
hepatitis, insomnia, alcoholism, and kidney disease
Premarin Premarin is an estrogen replacement drug
Premarin - a prescription drug currently being used
by over 8 million women with menopausal symptoms--is responsible for agonizing
conditions and ultimate death of thousands of horses annually
"Of the women in menopause today, about half start synthetic hormone replacement, but only
half of those stick with it because of the side effects or fear of cancer risk.
The threat of breast and uterine cancer is dramatically increased with HRT.
Premarin, an estrogen replacement drug for menopausal women made from pregnant
mare's urine, is the top selling drug of any kind in the U.S. But justifiable
controversy about synthetic hormone replacement may mean that the threat of breast
and uterine cancer is dramatically increased with HRT. In 51 studies covering
21 countries involving more than 52,000 women with breast cancer and 108,000
women without breast cancer, women who used Premarin for 5 years or longer had
a 35% higher risk of developing cancer than women who had never been on HRT.
(Good news! The higher risk for breast cancer diminished and largely disappeared
after about 5 years off HRT treatment.) Most women don't know that Premarin,
is made from pregnant mare's urine, and that the mares are kept in horrendous
conditions - their foals are sold for slaughter. Premarin is the most prescribed
of all drugs in America today. The mares are artificially inseminated and forced
to spend their 11-month pregnancies in stalls so small they cannot turn. If
they try to lie down, their heads are jolted upright by their halter chains.
Long lines of pregnant horses stand, chained and strapped into cramped concrete
and steel pens like rows of four-legged galley slaves. They shuffle uncomfortably
from hoof to hoof. A forlorn look fills their eyes as they stare. Their coats
are dull, their ears droopy - tell-tale signs of a horse's misery. Many get
sore, swollen legs or become crippled from standing, months on end, in their
tiny concrete stalls. The mares are kept constantly thirsty. They are denied
water so that their urine becomes thick." Linda Page, N.D. Ph.D

Breast Cancer "Misconceptions
and illusions prevail in the management of breast cancer. Despite evidence that
mastectomy, radiation following lumpectomy, axillary node dissection, or intensive
follow-up surveillance have little impact on survival, these practices are adhered

in prolonging life remains open to question. The imperative for doctors to do
something sometimes contradicts their pledge to do no harm."

risk of spreading or metastasizing an existing growth," says Dr. Charles B.

The Ugly Side of Cosmetics
Make-up and body care products have been linked to allergic reactions,
birth defects, and even cancer. It is a medically recognized fact that our body
absorbs significant amounts of what we put on our skin. With Certified Organic
food rapidly becoming the nutrition of choice by the health conscious amongst
us, why would you accept any less for your skin?
Make-up and body care products contain ingredients suspected of causing cancer;
potential neuro-, liver-, and immunotoxins; and suspected hormone disruptors
that could cause birth defects in any children she might bear in the future.
Many consumers may be surprised to learn that the US federal government doesn’t
require health studies or pre-market testing on personal care products. Manufacturers
are free to put just about anything they want into cosmetics—a far-reaching
category used by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to include everything
from make-up and deodorant to lotions and mouthwashes.
Hair Loss / Baldness /Alopecia
From the American Institute of Preventive Medicine:
"Most men and women experience hair loss as they get older; indeed, most men
have some degree of baldness by age 60. This is quite normal and affects some
persons more than others, especially if baldness runs in the family. Sudden
or abnormal hair loss could, however, result from:
- Taking certain medications (like some used in treating cancer, circulatory
disorders, ulcers or arthritis)
- Following a crash diet
- Hormonal changes such as with menopause
- A prolonged or serious illness
- Some mediSome medical conditions lead to hair loss such as Hypothyroidism and
ringworm (the latter is a fungal infection that affects the scalp and/or
the hairs themselves)
