Most modern maladies are caused by prolonged exposure to a combination
of negative lifestyles and toxic environmental factors, including junk
food and malnutrition, pesticides, antibiotics, microwaves, chemical pollution

Swine Flu Vaccine Warning According to a recent Fox News poll, the majority of people in the
US now believe the swine flu vaccine may be deadlier than the actual virus.
Research published in the August 25, 2009 issue of the British Medical
Journal reveals that more than half of doctors and nurses in public hospitals
would also refuse the H1N1 vaccine, due to concerns about side effects

The FDA has been reviewing reports of abnormal behavior and other brain
effects in more than 1,800 children who had taken the flu medicine Tamiflu.
The symptoms have included convulsions, delirium or delusions, and in Japan,
five deaths have been reported in children under 16 as a result of neurological
or psychiatric problems.There have also been nine deaths among older teens
and adults, attributed to neuropsychiatric problems or brain infections.

Spring 2007 - Headlines announce the latest

modified organisms) are labeled, as they are in Europe, consumers will
boycott them. In a similar vein, the FDA has recently proposed new laws
that will allow manufacturers to sell controversial and likely hazardous
irradiated and cloned foods without labeling them, or in the case of irradiated
foods, allowing companies to mislabel nuked foods as "pasteurized." Consumers
are justifiably wary of foods bombarded with nuclear waste or powerful
x-rays or gamma rays, since irradiation destroys essential vitamins and
nutrients, creates unique radiolytic chemical compounds never before consumed
by humans, and generates carcinogenic by-products such as formaldehyde
and benzene. Consumers are also skittish about consuming meat, milk, or
eggs from mutant animals that have been genetically engineered
or cloned.

Blocking
Country of Origin Labels for Food - Concerns over long distance food
transportation and global warming, compounded by recent food poisoning
scandals linked to contaminated pet, poultry, and pig food ingredients
from China, have taken away many Americans’ appetites for cheap imported
foods. Shocked that the FDA is inspecting less than
1% of all imported food shipments, health-minded consumers are demanding
that Congress implement mandatory Country of Origin Labels (COOL) on food.
Facing polls showing that 80% of Americans want to know where their food
is coming from, Congress incorporated COOL into the 2002 Farm Bill, supposedly
to go into effect in September 2004. Unfortunately, corporate agribusiness,
Wal-Mart, and the supermarket chains bribed an ethically impaired Congress
with millions in campaign contributions to block implementation of COOL
labels. As a result, Americans are buying billions of dollars of imported,

Allowing
Filth and Chemical Poisons In Industrial Food - Whether we’re talking
about deadly e-coli in hamburgers or spinach, imported
pet food that kills pets, or the feds admitting that 78 million annual

it’s clear that our Fast Food Nation needs help. Don’t hold your breath

Then you, like Brandy Bridges of Ellsworth, Maine, could be looking at
a cost of about US$2,004.28, which doesn't include the costs of frayed
nerves and risks to health. Sound crazy? Perhaps no more than the stampede
to ban the incandescent light bulb in favour of compact fluorescent light
bulbs (CFLs). According to an April 12 article in The Ellsworth American,
Bridges had the misfortune of breaking a CFL during installation in her
daughter's bedroom: It dropped and shattered on the carpeted floor. Aware
that CFLs contain potentially hazardous substances, Bridges called
her local Home Depot for advice. The store told her that the CFL
contained mercury and that she should call the Poison Control hotline,
which in turn directed her to the Maine Department of Environmental Protection. Watch

Dr. Mercola - "Recent research shows that microwave oven cooked
food suffers severe molecular damage. When eaten, it causes abnormal changes
in human blood and immune systems. Not surprisingly the public has been

According to Dr. Cristina Garcia-Viguera, co-author of the
study, microwaved broccoli loses 97 percent, 74 percent, and 87 percent
of the three major cancer-protecting antioxidant compounds (flavonoids,
sinapics and caffeoyl-quinic derivatives). By comparison, steamed broccoli
loses 11 percent, 0 percent and 8 percent of the very same antioxidants.
In a 1992 article in the journal Pediatrics, a team of researchers from
Stanford University reported that re-heating human breast milk in a microwave
oven – even at a low setting – can destroy some of its important disease-fighting
capabilities. Specifically, it lost lysozyme, which protects against bacterial
infection. The fact that adverse changes were found at very low temperatures
suggested to the researchers that “microwaving itself may in fact cause
some injury to the milk above and beyond the heating”.
Vitamin B-12 is another nutrient that can be destroyed by microwaving.
Japanese
research reported in Science News in 1998 found that as little as six minutes
of microwave cooking destroyed half of the vitamin B-12 in dairy foods
and meat, a much higher rate of destruction than other cooking techniques.
Microwaving baby formula is also a problem, according to Dr. Lita Lee of
Hawaii in the Lancet medical journal in 1989. She wrote that microwaving
baby formula converts certain trans-amino acids into synthetic substances
like trans-fatty acids. Further, one of the amino acids, L-proline, converts
to a substance known to be poisonous to the nervous system and to the kidneys.

Dr. Hans Ulrich Hertel, who is now retired, worked as a food scientist
for many years with one of the major Swiss food companies that do business
on a global scale. A few years ago, he was fired from his job for questioning
certain processing procedures that denatured the food. In 1991, he
and a Lausanne University professor published a research paper indicating
that food cooked in microwave ovens could pose a greater risk to health
than food cooked by conventional means. An article also appeared in issue
19 of the Journal Franz Weber in which it was stated that the consumption
of food cooked in microwave ovens had cancerous effects on the blood. The
research paper itself followed the article. On the cover of the magazine
there was a picture of the Grim Reaper holding a microwave oven in one
of his hands. Dr. Hertel was the first scientist to conceive and carry
out a quality clinical study on the effects microwaved nutrients have on
the blood and physiology of the human body. His small but well controlled
study showed the degenerative force produced in microwave ovens and the
food processed in them. The scientific conclusion showed that microwave
cooking changed the nutrients in the food; and, changes took place in the
participants' blood that could cause deterioration in the human system.

Triclosan, widely used as an antibacterial ingredient in household hand
sterilization products, breaks down rapidly when exposed to chlorinated
water and produces toxic chemicals including chloroform, according to a
study published on the Environmental Science & Technology research
website, suggesting that many antibacterial products may not only
be ineffective, but harmful.
The period once euphemistically called the Age of the Miracle Drug is
now dead. And the indiscriminate use of antibiotics is leading us to one
of the most frightening eras in recent memory. That is, the return of infectious
diseases for which there is no effective treatment. Two decades following
the introduction of antibiotics, the medical community began to see a disturbing
trend. Bacterial infections that were once treatable no longer responded
to antibiotics. Penicillin is effective today against only 10 percent of
the strains of Staphylococcus aureus that it used to eradicate easily.

Downing an “energy drink” may boost blood pressure as well as energy,
researchers said in a small study presented at the American Heart Association’s
Scientific Sessions. In the study, conducted by Wayne State University
researchers, blood pressure and heart rate levels increased in healthy
adults who drank two cans a day of a popular energy drink. Within four
hours of energy drink consumption, maximum systolic blood pressure (the
top number that represents pressure while the heart contracts to pump blood
to the body) increased by 7.9 percent on day one and 9.6 percent on day
seven; diastolic blood pressure (the bottom number that represents the
pressure when the heart relaxes between beats) increased by 7 percent and
7.8 percent, respectively, within two hours of energy drink consumption.
Heart rate increased by 7.8 percent on day one and 11 percent on day seven.
Over the duration of the study, heart rates increased five to seven beats
per minute and systolic blood pressure increased 10 millimeters of mercury
(mmHg) after energy drink consumption, the researchers reported. No significant
